Imagine you're hanging out with your best friend Harry. You have some feelings for him, but know that he probably doesn't feel the same way about you, so not wanting to ruin your friendship, you've never mentioned it.

"So, tell me Y/N/N, who's the perfect boy I have to help you find?" Harry asks, winking at you. You spend a few minutes debating your answer.
"Well, they'd have to be kind and funny, be able to look after me and make me feel special. Oh and I mean I'd like to be friends with them first, so I can really get to know them before."
"Interesting.... what about looks wise?" He quizzes.
"Um, well errrr.." you feel a blush on your cheeks. "Obviously it's not all about looks, but my ideal type would be um... brown curly hair, green eyes, kinda tall, a nice smile and dimples are cute too, so err yeah." You avoid his eyes as you look to the floor, embarrassed.

Silence.

You look up at Harry to see him smiling. When he sees you looking, he lifts both his hands up and points at himself. "Well Y/N. Look at that, looks like I'm in with a chance after all."
As your blushing increases, Harry chuckles, looking pleased with himself.
"Y/N? I was joking, don't look so concerned."
"Oh right, so you don't want a chance?" You ask, now confused.
"Err, I mean.. I never said I didn't want a chance." He shrugs, a small smile on his face. "If you, that's to say if we, wanted to give us a chance, then I would be down for that."

You try to stay calm but your smile gives you away making Harry chuckle once more.
"Judging by that smile, I suppose that's a yeah?" He asks.
"I suppose it is a yeah." You grin, stepping forward to hug him.

Right now, you don't know if it will work out in that way with Harry but what you do know is that you'll never lose him. You won't let that happen.
