Dragon Setsu is a young faunus from the tribe of Valhalla, in Vacuo. He is also a long-time friend of the chef's daughter: Resare Chikara. Tonight was very special for him, because it was his friend's eleventh birthday, and he arrives late, everyone had started the party. The young faunus started looking for Resare everywhere, before finding her, sitting on a log, near the other inhabitants, who were dancing.
"Resare!" He calls her, attracting the attention of her friend
"There you are !" Said the young faunus
"I'm sorry, I had something to finish." He said, scratching the back of his head. Resare laughed.
"Wondering when you will arrive on time," she said between two snickers. Dragon sighed.
"Say, when you become the chief of the tribe ... I would like to become your bodyguard!" He said to her, with a determined air.
"Do you think you can?" Resare asks him. His friend says with a nod.
"I will do everything I can!" He said smiling, revealing his shark teeth. Suddenly, explosions were heard throughout the village, ending the party. When Resare rolled her eyes, she saw a airship landing in the middle of the tribe. The door opened, revealing a red-haired man wearing a long white coat and a bowler hat, accompanied by a woman with pink and brown hair.
"Good evening, dear inhabitants of the tribe of Valhalla! I am Roman Torchwick." He said falsely friendly. "I came for the sole purpose of taking all of your Dust and reducing your tribe of animals to ashes." He adds with a much more serious air. Under these words, the whole village drew their weapons, ready to fight.
"Go home both of you, or you'll die!" Threatens a faunus, causing a sigh from Roman. "Neo, kill them all." He orders his friend
"With pleasure !" She replied, a sly smile on her face.
The bloodbath started to flow: Neo killed all the faunus who opposed her, one after the other. She laughed louder and louder as the massacre progressed. Dragon looks at his friend, who was paralyzed with fear. He couldn't just sit there and do nothing. Suddenly, Neo looked at the two young faunus.
"Resare!" Don't stay there! "Said his friend, grabbing her by the wrist. Suddenly, Neo rushed at them and shot a blow in the face of Dragon, who fell to the ground, a wound wide open on his face Neo tries to pierce it with his blade, but the young faunus catches it long before. "RUN! DON'T STAY HERE!" He yells at Resare, who ran away.
"Did you really think that sacrificing yourself would save her? Pathetic!" Declares Neo, who put pressure on her umbrella to kill Dragon. The latter lifts the weapon with a blow, which strikes the woman on the throat. The young faunus gets up and bites her in the same place. The young woman falls to the ground, unconscious. Dragon ran to join Resare.

"Resare! Resare!" He calls in the middle of the Vacuo desert. After tens of minutes, he finally finds his friend, on her knees, crying. And seeing her like that, he couldn't stay without doing anything: He rushes towards her, kneels and grabs her hands to reassure her. The young faunus looks up at her friend.
"Dragon ..." she whispers between two sobs
"It's ok I'm there." He said to her before taking his friend in his arms, trying to reassure her.
