Chapter 2

We've been walking for a while to find Pete and we haven't found him yet. Then we stumbled across some of the cells, three of them I recognised.

"Wait, I can't leave my friends." I say and everyone looks at me. "They're in these cells." I point at the three cells next to each other.

"Okay, let's free them" Cap opened the door to Harley's cell and I walk in.

"Harls, we're escaping" I say as I stand in front of him.

"What do you mean we're escaping? Where's Pete?"

"I don't know, they separated us and in the middle of my session some people came to rescue me, us."

"Who? How do you know they're good guys?" Harley looked at me, worry evident in his eyes.

"My family." I say and he looks at me with hope.

He stands up and we both walk out of the cell. Everyone looks at Harley and then at me. We both give them a small smile and walk up to Emily's cell. I open the door and see the girl who's like my little sister curled up as a ball in the furthest corner of the room.

"Em? It's me, Sophia." I say and she looks up, runs up to me and jumps in my arms. I hug her tightly and I can feel her calm down a little bit. I looked up at her and the five year old girl kept her face in the crook of my neck.

"I'm going to hand you over to my mum, is that okay? Or do you want Harley to hold you?" I ask and the little girl looks up to see mum smile sweetly and then looks at Harley.

"Harley" She says and I hand her over to Harley who hugs her sweetly.

We walk up to Winter's cell and I stop them.

"I have to go in this cell alone. He's sensitive to people he doesn't know and can be very violent" Everyone except Harley and Emily look at me, worry evident in their eyes and I give them a reassuring smile.

I open the cell and when I walk in I close the door behind me. Winter looks up with a look that says he's ready to fight, until he sees it's me.

"Soph, what are you doing here? The guards could come in any second" he says with a look on his face that says he's worried for my safety.

"It's fine, they're all unconscious or dead. My family is here to rescue us." I say with a smile on my face. Although I'm pretty sure he can see how scared I still am. I'm staying strong for Emily, Harley, Pete, my family and above all him.

"Soph you know how I am with people I've never met before. I don't want to hurt them"

"You won't. It'll be alright. I'll be right next to you." I give him a reassuring smile and grab his hand. He smiles at me and kisses the top of my head. We walk out and the first thing I see is the shocked look on Cap's face.

"Bucky?" he asks and Winter gives him a weird look.

"Who the hell is Bucky?"

"You. You're my best friend Bucky. How do you not remember that?"

I look at Winter, "The mind wipes, that's why you don't remember."

"Makes sense. Look I'm sorry, but I don't remember you. Maybe in time?"

"Yeah, right okay.." Cap says and he somehow maintains a straight face.

"We better find Pete." I say and I look at my parents who give me a smile.

"Aren't there other people here?" Rhodey asks and I shake my head.

"We're the only ones here, they moved everyone else somewhere safe. Safe from us crazy kids." Harley says in a sassy tone. I can't help but laugh at his antics.

We've been looking for a while now and we still haven't found Peter. There were two rooms left, Rhodey, Cap, Harley and Em went to look in one room and my Parents, Winter and me went to look in the other. When we walked in the first thing I saw and heard was Peter being a sarcastic bitch towards the doctor who was rolling his eyes whilst looking at Peter with a look that said 'God help me. Kid just shut up, why are you like this?'.

Without any kind of sound from any of us, mum sneaked up behind the doctor and knocked him out.

"PETE" I yelled and ran up to him, taking off the restraints and hugging him.

"Soph, how did you get here?" He asked and I gave him a 'what do you think' look.

The others walked in after they heard me yell Peter's name.

"Look around you, who else is here?" I asked him and he did as told. His eyes went wide when they fell on mum and dad. "M- Mum? Dad? Y- You're really here?"

"Yeah, honey, we're here." Mum said and they both brought us into a hug.

"I love the whole family reunion thing and all, but maybe we should go before the guards wake up? Just an idea." We all heard Harley say and I walked over to him.

"Well Harls, that might be the best idea you've had in a while." I said while taking over Emily.

He hit me on the shoulder and I stifled a laugh.

"Well, let's go everyone!"
