The players of the Hermitcraft server had never seen storms like these before. Everyone had noticed the changes in the weather for the past week, what with the breeze suddenly picking up and thunderstorms constantly coming and going. However, it was not until Xisuma checked his admin network the next morning that he found the cause of the sudden change.

Sitting on his bed, tapping away on his control pad, Xisuma could not find the cause of the strange weather within the server settings. He had checked the lagging level to make doubly sure the redstone masters of the server had not created another bug, but he found nothing there either.

'Maybe it's a part of the latest update?' He thought, swiping to the updates list.

Scrolling through the list, he mentally checked off each addition, '1.13 - The Update Aquatic: Drowned, dolphins, tropical fish, turtles, phantoms, buried treasure, tridents, sea coral and kelp, shipwrecks... Nope. No changes in the weather cycle at all. But if it wasn't the new update that brought the thunderstorms, then what was it?'

Out of curiosity Xisuma switched his screen to the world map. This showed the whole Hermitcraft server with all of the player's locations and bases. Any changes that were made to the world could be seen on this one map.

Xisuma turned on the map's climate settings

Xisuma turned on the map's climate settings. This displayed the current weather happening on the server. He had never really needed to use this setting before, but now seemed like as good a time as any to check it out.

When turned on, the map showed many dark clouds slowly moving above the shopping district. However something was different. Instead of moving across the sky, the clouds seemed to be curving around in unison, almost as if they were circling something in the distance. Xisuma could not see what they were circling, but whatever it was it was off the screen, so he swiped the map from right to left, moving his view towards the south-east of the server. The clouds seemed to grow bigger and darker the closer he got. The screen had only moved just a couple miles east from Jevin's base when he finally found the central point of the rotating vapour.

The build-up of clouds was enormous! They all swirled simultaneously around a centre point, which was slowly moving towards the mainland, where many of the Hermits lived close by.

"What in the server is going on there?!" Xisuma wondered out loud, having never seen anything like this before. He decided to go for a flight and check it out. After memorising the coordinates, he put on his elytra, filled his satchel with rockets, and took off eastwardly into the sky.

As Xisuma drew closer to what he had seen on his map, he notice how threatening the dark clouds really were. The wind blew harder, faster, and colder by the minute. It pushed Xisuma around furiously as he fought to maintain control of his elytra. It had become harder to see where he was going with all the rain that poured down. Even while wearing his helmet with the purple vizor, he had to squint to stay focused on what was ahead of him.
