Epilogue

Octavio swallowed as he stared down at the velvet box he held in his hand. It had been a year now since he and Natalie began dating and they were still going strong.

He loved her so much that he wanted to propose to her. He knew she loved him but if she rejected him..he didn't know what he'd do.

He shook his head and knocked on the door. There was movement behind, then the door opened to reveal Alexander.

"Octavio. What do you want?" he stated and the daredevil looked nervous as he held up the box. Alexander stared at it before looking back up at him. "I was wondering if it'd be okay..if I proposed to Natalie? I wanted to ask you because her real father's gone but you care for her just like he would. I wouldn't feel right if I didn't ask first. It's a family thing I guess.." he mumbled.

In fact, after that cruise, he had finally decided to talk with his family. They were thrilled and not at all how they used to be. He thought it was because of Natalie. They had been happy that he found a nice, smart, girl that he loved.

Alexander nodded once.

"Fine. Treat her well Octavio." he said and the daredevil looked relieved as he smiled widely. "I will sir, thank you." he said and Alexander nodded once more, then stepped out of the room. "You're doing it now."

Octavio nodded.

"Sí. Everyone is in the Lounge." he said and Alexander hummed in response. The two walked on down the hall in silence. Octavio trying not to chicken out (for the first time in his life) and Alexander inwardly amused at his obvious nerves.

As if Natalie would ever say no to him.

"Hey Alex, Octavio. Why'd you want us all down here?" asked Elliot from his place at the bar. Renée was in his arms, looking tired and the charming male looked oddly relaxed. Even more so than usual.

Natalie was talking to Makoa and Ajay was sitting in Tae's lap, admiring his grandmother's ring that he had given her. Bloodhound and Anita were in the corner talking quietly and Path was playing games by himself.

There was one other Legend now, Revenant, but he was rarely around. He wasn't a fan of humans, though Octavio thought he was just saying that because he always seemed fine around he and Elliot.

"Natalie." he commented, ignoring Elliot's question and the blonde looked over at him, her pretty blue eyes curious.

For a moment all Octavio saw was her on their first game together and he couldn't breathe. Then he remembered what he was doing and approached her.

That day he decided for the first time in years to wear pants along with a nice, white, button down shirt. It was kind of weird since he still had his piercings in and his hair was still shaved but he didn't really care and he knew Natalie wouldn't either.

"What's.." Natalie trailed off, her eyes widening when the daredevil got to his knees before her. Everyone around them gasped and he opened the box, holding up a silver ring with a large emerald gem in the center.

"I know it's only been a year since we met and then began dating but.. I know I won't find someone else like you. I know I could never love another woman like I love you. I am completely in love with you and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you. I still remember the day we met like it was yesterday. Actually it was today a year ago..." at this the others laughed and Natalie smiled, though her eyes were glazed over with tears.

"You immediately caught my attention. It was the first time that anyone had got my heart racing so fast. I had never been in love before until I met you. Even now my heart is racing and you're not even doing anything. So..will you marry me, hermosa?" he asked quietly and swallowed when she took the ring, pulling him up gently.

"Oui..I.." she started sobbing uncontrollably and everyone clapped and cheered as Octavio brought her into a tight hug, running his fingers through her hair lightly. "Esta bíen, hermosa. No llores." he murmured and she sniffled, looking up at him with a shaky smile.

"I love you."

"I love you more." he smiled.

"I'm best man right? Cause I called it so that means I'm best man." said Elliot and they laughed.

"Yes Elliot. You're best man." sighed Octavio.

"Whoop! Okay so first we need..."

Natalie and Octavio couldn't even hear the rest as they were lost in each other's eyes. He slipped the ring on her finger, then kissed her deeply.

"Octavio..I'm pregnant."

And the daredevil swore his heart had just exploded with excitement.
