Sophie's POV

It's been a week since the party and I still haven't gotten my father back for making me go up on the stage and sing.

"Pepper," I say quietly. "I would advise you to stay up later than my dad tonight."

"Why?"

"Tonight I'm getting a little bit of revenge on him."

"Oh? How?"

"I'll tell you after I do it."

She laughs lightly.

"He's going to hate you for it."

"If it goes according to plan, he won't even realise I did anything and he'll just feel like a total idiot."

She laughs again.

"This should be amusing then."

Tony's POV

Pepper decided to stay up a bit longer. I'm nearly asleep. I'm shocked awake by water falling on me. I spring out of bed.

"Seriously, Sophie?" I grumble, running to her room.

I bang on the door.

"Sophie! Don't pretend you're asleep. I know you're not!"

I open the door. She's lying there, motionless.

"Sophie!" I say with warning in my voice.

I go to shake her. She's cold. Then I realise she not breathing. I stare at her for a moment, then run from the room for Professor Hulk. I feel something cold go through me as I exit the room.

Sophie's POV

I splash my father with water. As soon as I do that, I drift from my body. Only I know that I can do that. I hear my father banging on the door and watch it open. He warns me to stop pretending, then goes to shake me, then pulls back as he feels my body cooling. I stand in the doorway. He runs through me. I can tell he feels cold when he runs through. I quickly get back into my body and send a warm wind over him. That's the only thing I can actually do with air. Then I send another warm wind to my father's bed. I open my window. Then, as I hear footsteps approaching, I pretend to sleep. The door is swung open and bangs on the wall. I pretend to be shocked awake. I sit up.

"Wh-why did you wake me?" I ask sleepily. "Is there something wrong?"

Professor Hulk raises his eyebrows at my father.

"I-I could have sworn that her body was cold."

"Huh?" I ask. "What are you talking about? What happened?"

He explains all that happened, right from the moment the water dropped on him. I shake my head.

"I think you're just overtired, dad. I mean, there's no water on you, I'm very much alive and the reason you suddenly felt cold was probably because my window's open."

He nods in bewilderment.

"Now can you both please go. I'm really tired."

They nod and go to leave the room. Professor Hulk stops and turns back to me.

"You planned all of that, didn't you?"

I nod.

"Don't tell him."

"Don't worry, I won't," he says with a chuckle.
