We are at a beach.
And a beautiful beach too. Crisp golden sand arches until it falls off the horizon.
Clear, pristine water glistens and gently rocks against the shore.
White foam like the top of a hot chocolate sizzles and bubbles on the burning sand. Salty wind softly brushes the earth.
Sami walks along the beach, the breeze curling it's fingers through her hair.
Petite feet step on the sand rather than sinking down. Her sun-kissed skin screams summer.
She is...perfection.
Wispy clouds layer each other horizontally in the bright blue sky. In between those clouds hides a golden ball of light.
After walking a fair distance Sami turns and walks to the waters edge.
She stands with her eyes closed.
The water starts to move, sand swirls up off the ocean floor.
The wisps turn grey. Then the sky is swallowed by grey. And black.
The water spins and curls into a tiny whirlpool.
It turns faster and faster, growing bigger and bigger.
Light begins to pulse from it.
Then it explodes. A giant fountain of water streams from the sky and leaves behind a man.
No ordinary man. An Angel. Golden-blond hair and tan skin. Clothed in golden armour.
His eyes burn with fire.
Sami steps into the water, then takes another step and another until she comes face to face with the Angel.
"What is the reason of my summoning?" He demands, his voice booming and echoing.
"You cannot hurt me" she whispers.
Her shining blue eyes stare him in the eye deliberately and forcefully.
She reaches out her hand and rests her palm softly on his chest.
A disembodied voice screams. A piercing wail that never ends.
The Angels eyes, or rather, flames grow larger. The flames crackle and swallow his face.
His chest. Lightning splits the sky.
His stomach. Thunder crashes.
And finally his legs. Sami's eyes are black.
The Angel is gone. A giant ball of white and gold fire in his place.
Tongues of flame flicks out and licks her arms.
Nothing happens.
The water starts to fall back into place and the clouds become soft and white again.
All that is left is a melted blob of gold at the bottom of the sea.
Sami turns and heads back towards the sand. Her eyes shine like black pearls. The ones with the rainbow sheen. But they aren't happy. They are sinister.
They may have Sami's body but there is no Sami left.
Her body isn't gentle and care free but stiff and determined.
The wind is ferocious and smacks anything in its path.
Everything but Sami.
Black mist rolls across the beach towards her. It forms a weak circle. She pushes herself through undeterred. But the mist doesn't give up. It rolls towards her and becomes thicker.
More like a storm cloud.
She is trapped. The cloud stretches up and out.
It is so thick now she can't see through.
Lightning flashes inside the cloud, the cloud glows eerily.
Sami screams. Nothing happens. The cloud continues to grow until everything is black. Then with a last crack of light everything disappears.
