The End

The cliff, 300 metres above the grey sea.
Rocks crumble like a biscuit and come crashing down into the white capped waves.
And the waves are ruthless. They roar and smash the shore and then the rock wall.
And Sami, precariously perched on the trembling peek of the cliff, watches it all.
The horizon burns gold and red and is streaked with grey smoky clouds.
Sami's eyes water when she tears her eyes away from the sky, she stares at her hands resting in her lap.
And in the palms of her hands lies a silver revolver.
A burning tear slides down her cheek, her neck, and drops into the open air. It falls and then it can be seen no more. Not even a splash as it hits the sea. Her chest rises and falls fast and her heart pounds against her ribs. Sami stands and faces away from the water. Her heels hang over the edge, only her toes support her.
Her hands shake and her eyes turn black. The dark Sami pushes the revolver to her head. Her eyes begin to waver, specks of blue shine through. They fight for control.
A dark opalescent mist appears, though faint it clearly is struggling against something. It shimmers and becomes bolder, and darker.
Sami is still, the gun drops to the ground with a dull thud. Dark Sami has gone but the mist is still twisting and flickering in front of her.
It is lighter now, grey coils at the top and a darker at the bottom.
Then she realises what it is. Dark Sami.
She looks like she came from a black and white movie. White hair, grey skin and black clothes.
She glares at Sami, her eyes like bottomless pits, with no emotion or life. Just death.
A wicked grin dominates her face and she cackles. It is a harsh noise and Sami visibly flinches. They sound turns into a screech like nails on a chalkboard. She suddenly stops and everything is quiet. Even the waves quit their booming echo.
The revolver is now in Dark Sami's hand and is now black. She holds it up and the cool metal presses against Sami's neck, she shivers.
Then with a quick flick of her finger the bullet flies through Sami's throat.
Her mouth forms an 'o' and she gasps. But she doesn't fall.
There is no blood either.
The bullet ghosts through and fades into the wind.
"I want you to die. Why won't you leave? I gave you a chance but you refused. I need this body, this body you do not deserve." Dark Sami snarls through gritted teeth "I HATE YOU!!!" she screams and lunges forward with a violent shove.
They both tumble through the icy air. And then it is only Sami dropping like a rock, Dark Sami is above, falling like a feather. Sami braces herself for the impact, and death.
She smashes against the water then sinks down with a gut renching agony. Her muscles contract with coldness of which she had never felt before. She thinks, this is death. To fall and keep falling, constantly hurting. But it doesn't hurt anymore, her body is numb. Black spots flicker her vision. She begins to choke on the water.
She is floating back towards the surface. Black and silver and red ripple across the suface.
Sami breaks the water spluttering and splashing. Finally she regains her bearings, in time to see Dark Sami touch the water gently. Her body barely solid anymore, it is changing back to mist. But, as the water takes her under, the mist explodes like dark shards of ice. And the mist already submerged in water billows out like ink. Then, out of nowhere a giant grey wave crashes down on Sami. It picks her up in its icy claws and tosses her against the cliff with a crack. It leaves her with no time to scream or cry or even move. The moment she hits the sand she is limp and cold.
She is dead.
