Chapter 21: I'm Ricky Bowen

**Time Skip* The weekend's over, and its Monday again. Nini and Gina are walking to lunch*
Gina: so he just kissed you and left? Just like that?
Nini: Yep. I just don't understand why he couldn't except what I was saying
Gina: I don't know Nini. Like you said, he's probably just not ready to forgive himself.
Nini: Yeah, I guess you're right
Gina: see this is why I don't do boyfriends, their too much work
Nini: *laughs* But they're worth it in the end. You truly do learn a lot. I don't regret anything that happened
Gina: I'm just not like you Nini. I don't think I could have forgave him. I'm so proud of you
Nini: Thanks Gigi. I'm proud of myself too
Gina: good. so, what are you doing after school today?
Nini: I don't know, probably the usual. Do some homework, call Finnick, watch Netflix, and go to bed
Gina: *laughs* and you and Finnik are all better now right?
Nini: *laughs* Yeah, I don't think we've ever been on better terms
Gina: that's good. Well, I have dance today, but pencil me in for tomorrow okay? I wanna hang out with you
Nini: *laughs* Okay. I have reserved time for Gina Porter in my "oh so busy" schedule tomorrow
Gina: thank you *laughs*
Nini: *laughs* Anytime Gina
*we walk in the cafeteria and get our food*

Ricky: *I'm sitting with Ej and a group of people and I see Nini come in.* *I stand up on an empty table in the middle of the cafeteria*
Ej: Ricky what the fu*k

Gina: what is he doing?
Nini: I don't know...
Gina: Some stupid prank or something?
Nini: Maybe?
Gina: why does he have his glasses on. He never wears those to school
Nini: Oh my gosh he does. What is he doing-

Ricky: Hey everyone. I'm Ricky Bowen, as most of you know... I just- I'm finally ready to share... well I'm in ready to tell you all who I really am. I hate being mean to people and making fun of you. If I've ever said something to hurt you or offend you, I deeply apologize. I never wanted to hurt anyone. Or, maybe I did. I was you... I was made fun of and bullied and all that shit for so many years so I changed myself and that's who you know me as.

Nini: *to Gina* Oh my god, what is he doing?

Ricky: I'm really just an average teenage "geek" who would much rather spend an afternoon helping his 8 year old sister with her homework then go out and party. All those stupid bad grades I get, are all on purpose. Just to not be made fun of or whatever. But what do I do? I make fun of the super smart kids. Truth is, I'm just so jealous that you all make it work... you all work so hard everyday to keep the grades your getting and I'm only tearing you down. I hate myself for that. I especially hate myself though, for ruining only thing fu*king good in my life. Nini has shown me that it's okay to be me and not let other people define me, so I'm done ruining other kids lives just because I was bullied or whatever. I love you Nini. You're the only person that's ever made me want to change and be myself again. And the past month with you has been the best month in my entire life.

Nini: *tears up*

Ricky: I'm not letting my "reputation" come before you anymore... and I just thought everyone should know that. Sorry for interrupting everyone's lunch. You can go on with your day- um... thank you. *gets down from the table*
Ej: *looks shocked at Ricky*

Nini: Oh my god, h-he told everyone
Gina: he did. He really really did
Ricky: *I walk over to Nini* I understand if you don't want me back, but I couldn't hide anymore.*
Nini: Ricky, I'm so proud of you
Ricky: I can't believe I did that *laughs*
Gina: Ya know, I think I have um- something to go do *walks away*
Nini: I can't believe it either.... y-you love me?
Ricky: I do, I really do love you.
Nini: I-I love you too geek *smiles*
Ricky: *smiles* miss 100, to nerd, to the love of my life, thank you for everything
Nini: *laughs* Oh my god I love you so much
Ricky: *smiles* I'd kiss you right now, but we are literally in the middle of the cafeteria with everyone staring at us *laughs*
Nini: Does it look like I care?
Ricky: I guess not *laughs* *I kiss you*
Nini: *I kiss back*
Ricky: *after a minute, I pull back* best reminder I've received
Nini: I agree *laughs* Oh my god, look at Ej. He looks like he's seen a ghost *laughs*
Ricky: yeah, he's probably really confused *laughs*
Nini: You confused the one brain cell left in his head *laughs*
Ricky: *laughs* he kept asking why I was in glasses all day but I just ignored him
Nini: Can you just finally admit you look so much better in your glasses?
Ricky: fine... and it's because it just showcases the real me
Nini: *laughs* Thank you. Wait, can we please go talk to Ej? I really wanna know what's on his mind *laughs*
Ricky: *laughs* honestly so do I *I hold out my hand
Nini: *I grab your hand* Shall we?
Ricky: we shall *laughs* *we walk over to Ej* So...
Ej: in love with her?! I knew you two were dating!
Ricky: and kissing that girl just to prove to you I wasn't, was the biggest mistake of my life
Ej: so what are you some freaky genius?
Ricky: something like that. But I'm more of the freaky and she's the genius
Nini: Oh shut up *laughs* But yes Ej, your partner in crime has secretly been a humongous geek behind your back the whole time
Ej: for how long? Was I that stupid?
Ricky: 1st is all yes, your that stupid, but, basically since the day she was assigned as my tutor
Ej: which you never needed?
Ricky: well I wouldn't say that... without Nini, I wouldn't be where I am right now
Nini: Aww that's so sweet Ricky! *I kiss your cheek* I don't know where I'd be either
Ej: oh god, leave me out of this... just, don't bother pretending with me anymore. I'm done with your fu*king games
Ricky: so am I, bye Ej!
Nini: Bye Ej! I'll miss you!
Ricky: *laughs* come on Nini, let's go eat
Nini: *laughs* Okay

AHHHHH! I'm so proud of Ricky. Well, thats the official ending of the story. Well, there is an epilogue (which takes place after school that day haha) and then some bonus chapters! I'll give more information about these later!
