"TEXT HIM/HER/THEM YOU WIMP!" Lucas yells at Taeyong, who has his phone open in his hand.
"I DONT SEE YOU WITH YOUR PHONE OUT!" Taeyong growls back.
Baekhyun steps in the middle of the two, hands out. "Alright everyone calm down. Just take some deep breaths."
Taemin steps up as well. "Yeah, everyone just chill out."
"Thanks love," Baekhyun smiles gratefully and pecks Taemin's cheek.
"While I'm glad love isn't diminished in our lovely large relationship," Ten hums, sarcastically. "We have Y/N's number. Now Taeyong needs to man up at text him/her/them."
"Why don't you do it Tennie?" Mark asks from his seat besides Ten. "Use your flirty personality and text him/her/them."
"You know I would but," Ten trailed off.
Kai hums from across from him. "But what? Just do it."
Ten sighs, slumping in his seat. "I yield. I'm sorry Taeyongie."
Taeyong smirks. "It's fine Tennie. I still love you."
"Yay!" Ten giggles, childishly.
"Back to the test at hand," Lucas interrupts. "Somebody still needs to text Y/N and clearly none of us are confident enough for this. So what's gonna happen?"
~ At Y/N's Apartment ~
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Y/N groans as his/her/their alarm goes off and quickly switches it off. Slowly getting up from bed, Y/N pulls on a white button up and tucks it into black ripped jeans. Slipping on a pair of shite converse, Y/N drags him/her/themself out of the room and into the shared apartment kitchen.
"Good morning!"
Y/N jumps as Yeji and Jinyoung pop up behind him/her/them. "Jesus Christ! Don't scare me like that!"
"Sorry honey," Jinyoung pouts teasingly, moving to sit at the counter.
"Where are you off to this fine morning?" Yeji questions as she takes a seat by Jinyoung.
Y/N sighs. "Work unfortunately."
"But we've got classes today," Jinyoung points out.
"Later," Y/N defends. "I'll be done with work with enough time to get to classes. Don't worry."
"Imma worry my ass off about you," Jinyoung states strongly. "You don't have a normal anything schedule bud. So therefore, I'm worried as hell."
"Well then," Y/N hums, chuckling. "Take a chill pill then. I'll be fine."
"Did you sleep last night?" Yeji questions as Y/N goes to grab an apple.
"A little yeah," Y/N hums after a beat of silence.
Jinyoung raises an eyebrow. "How much is a little?"
"An hour," Y/N mumbles under his/her/their breath almost too quietly. "Oh look at that! Time for me to go!"
Y/N quickly grabs his/her/their bag and rushes to the door, grabbing the car keys on the way out.
"Y/N!!!!" Both Jinyoung and Yeji yell as Y/N slams the door shut behind him/her/them.
Y/N chuckles, walking to his/her/their car and slipping into the passenger seat. Y/N starts the car and plugs in his/her/their phone, turning on a playlist and leaving the parking garage. It takes about fifteen minutes before Y/N arrives at his/her/their work, a book store. Parking quickly, Y/N rushes out of the car and into the store.
"You still had a few minutes," MinJae, the store owner, chuckles when he sees Y/N running into the book store.
Y/N shrugs when he/she/they slow to a stop by Minjae. "Yeah well, at least I'm not late. Unlike some people."
Lisa, another employee, steps up when Y/N side eyes her playfully. "Hey! I got here before you today!"
"I had a talk with my roommates this morning," Y/N points out. "You live alone."
"Fair point," Lisa gives in.
"Off of this topic," MinJae begins. "The store is about to open, so let's get some of the stuff ready."
The three nod and head off into different areas of the store to get ready. Once the store opened, Lisa went behind the counter and MinJae left to go into the office, leaving Y/N out to y'all and help the customers. While the work day continued, Y/N mingled with customers and wandered around, fixing shelves and shelving new books. After around two hours, Y/N went on break and went into the back to check his/her/their phone.
From Baby Rosie:
Yo Sibling! Are you going to come home today? I miss my disaster of an older sibling. Jk, I love you! 😘
To Baby Rosie:
Imma come back home after classes. And I miss my disaster of a younger sibling too! ;)
Y/N chuckles and shakes his/her/their head at Rose. Honestly, he/she/they got a weird but fun little sister.
Y/N notices one more text from an unknown number on his/her/their phone.
From Unknown:
Hey Y/N! It's Mark Lee. The guys and I were wondering if you wanted to meet up at some point? Also, I attached the other guys phone numbers so you wouldn't be confused if they texted you.
"Why the heck is my heart beating faster?" Y/N mutters, in complete confusion.
To Mark Lee:
Hey Mark! Thanks for the phone numbers! Getting six random numbers texting me could have been a bit weird lol. Anyways, I think it would be fun if you guys wanted to meet up. Just text me when you want to meet.
After that, Y/N put his/her/their phone back in his/her/their backpack and went back to work. Y/N spent the next three hours at work, talking with customers. After that, he/she/they clocked out and quickly drove to the university.
"You're alive!" Yeji yelled as Y/N came into her sights in their first class of the day.
"I had work," Y/N grumbled jokingly. "I wasn't driving off a cliff."
"Are we sure about that?" Jinyoung asks jokingly.
Before Y/N can respond, the professor walks in and begins class. During the class, Y/N took careful notes and tried to avoid the looks from his/her/their roommates.
"Do you have anything after the next class?" Jinyoung asks once they leave the classroom.
"No."
"Yes."
"Where are you going?" Yeji asks Y/N.
"To visit Rose and my fam," Y/N responds.
"Such a sister complex," Jinyoung shakes his head and runs to his seat before Y/N can chase after him.
The next class passes by slowly, but once it was over, he/she/they rush out of the classroom quickly before Yeji and Jinyoung could catch him/her/them.
Y/N picks up his/her/their phone once his/she/they get in the car.
"Yo Rose, I'm heading home now for a bit. I'll see you in like 30 minutes."
Y/N ends the voicemail and checks his/her/their phone one more time.
From Mark Lee:
Would you want to meet up tomorrow at the park near the university at 2?
To Mark Lee:
Yeah sure sounds great!
