I awoke to the alarm on my phone ringing sharply at me, forcing consciousness back into my completely exhausted body. I groaned and reached to the side to turn it off. Instead of meeting my bedside table, my open hand collided with a body. I opened my eyes and saw Devin blinking the sleep out of hers. She was pressed close to me, her bare body against mine. I couldn't stop the smile from gracing my lips.

"Hi," I muttered, feeling a blush coat my cheeks. She smiled back and pulled me into her.

"Good morning." I laughed when she tucked her head into my neck, but stopped when I felt her fingers trail down my thighs again. I was sore, and I could guarantee there were visible bruises on my thighs from the night before. Despite this, I deeply wished for a time machine to go back and relive it all again.

"I have school." I laughed and captured her traveling hands in mine. She groaned and moved her hand back to my hips to pull me closer to her.

"Fine, let's go shower." We stood together and walked into the adjacent bathroom. We both showered and dressed again. She lent me a hoodie of hers, that I could guarantee she would never see again, and a pair of leggings. She had dressed in her t-shirt and gym shorts much quicker than I had. She sat back down on the bed and watched me finish getting dressed.

"What do you want for breakfast?" She asked, all the while still staring up at me.

"Pancakes?" She nodded in approval and we left the bedroom together. I desperately wished to turn back and relive our moments from the previous night, but I couldn't afford to miss more classes. She cooked while I scooped pancakes onto the hot pan. We worked together silently until we were ready to eat.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked and took a bite of her food.

"More than okay," I said through the bite of mine. She hummed and finished chewing.

"Good, I was worried that I was too rough." Her eyes were locked on mine, and I felt heat rush to my cheeks again. Why must she always do this!

"I liked it," I mumbled and took another bite. I'm sure I couldn't have turned any redder.

"Good to know." She laughed. We continued to talk and eat until I forced myself to stand. I took both of our plates and rinsed them before going back to where she was now standing in the kitchen, watching me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and buried my head in her chest. I felt her laugh rumble through her lungs.

"I know you have to go to class." She whispered into my ear and placed a small kiss on my earlobe. "How about this, you go to school and work, I'll come to walk you home from work tonight. How about that?" I nodded vigorously, wanting- no need to see her again.

She chuckled but continued to hold me.

"What do you have tonight?" I asked her. I was surprised she heard me at all.

"I've got a shift tonight, but I'm not closing." I hummed in understanding and continued to cling to her.

By the time she got me off her and delivered me to school, I was already late. Not that I necessarily cared. I had tried to convince her that my tardiness would be more embarrassing than my absence, but she refused to be the reason for me missing out on my education. I hated her good nature, but I also loved it.

Loved her?

No. Not yet, but I felt for her in a way that I had felt for no one ever before her. I knew my heart fluttered when she was around. I knew my head stopped thinking when she touched me. I was consumed by her very being. Was that love?

I walked into class and took a seat in the back next to Liam, but my head was too full of thoughts to be bothered by his curious look.

"You okay?" He whispered l, so as not to disturb those around us. "You look worried?" His statement sounded more like a question.
