DECEMBER 8TH

LISA POV

Hello, my name is Lisa, and let's just say that my life is boring. I joined the ploce force 5 years ago, and all my life has only been, wake up early, eat, go to work, go home late, repeat. The cops at my precinct are all just assholes; they should be ashamed of calling themselves a cop. Most of them are doing this to feel powerful. I do this to keep other people safe. Maybe why I haven't got my first criminal case. My Sargent always said that I was soft and couldn't handle a real job, but what does he know. Anyway, I was in my police vehicle waiting on patrol, listening to the radio.

*WE HAVE A 10-15 ON THE RUN*

LISA: *10-8, IM COMING DOWN TO CHECK IT OUT*

I turn on my sirens and head to the location of the crime. There, I see a man running, pushing other civilians away. I get out of my car and run after him. Once I was able to get close enough to him, I tazed him, making the man fall down.

"HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I yelled.

I grabbed my handcuffs from my belt and cuffed him. I then brought him to my car, and we started to drive away to the police station. There, I brought him out of the car and put him in a cell that we had.

"Good work, Officer Manoban," my Sargent said. "It's been a long day, why don't you sign off."

"Okay then," I replied.

I grabbed my things from my locker and put my uniform away. I then went back to my car and drove home. While driving, I can see houses with their Christmas lights up. Huh, time flies so fast as a cop, I didn't know it was the holiday season. I finally reach my house and head inside. I toss my bag on the couch and just sigh.

*RING RING*

I take out my phone from my pocket and look at who is calling me.

Lisa: Hello

Jennie: Lisa, long time no see

Lisa: Hey Jennie

Jennie: Listen, the girls and I are in town, and I was wondering if you would like to get some hot chocolate with us

Lisa: Yeah sure, I got nothing else to do

Jennie: Great, meet us at Persona Café

Lisa: Great see you guys there

I head upstairs to my bedroom and head to the closet. I put together my clothes for tonight and head out the door. I got in my car and typed the address for Persona Café. Then, I drove off into the city down to the café. I parked my car in front and headed inside. There, I saw my friends Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé.

"Hi, guys."

"Hi, Lisa," they all said.

I sat down next to them and ordered my drink.

"Lisa, it has been a while since we've seen you," Jisoo said.

"Yeah, like how long has it been," I said.

"5 years," Rosé said.

I looked at Rosé and then looked down. I noticed a ring on her left hand.

"Rosé, you didn't tell me you got married," I said.

"Oh, that was a while ago," she said.

"So, who is the lucky man," I smirked at her.

"Oh, his name is Jimin," Rosé said.

"That's sweet, so when are you two getting married," I asked Jennie and Jisoo.

"Oh, uh, I'm still talking about it with Taehyung," Jennie said.

"Okay, what about you, Jisoo," I asked.

"I'm not ready yet," Jisoo said. "And why are you asking, are you getting married anytime soon, Lisa."

"No, sadly, I'm not, maybe never," I said, looking down.

"Awwwwwww, don't worry Lisa, I'm sure there will be a man waiting for you," Jennie said.

"Thanks, that made me feel a lot better."

We got our drinks and ended up talking for a good 30 more minutes before all of us had to head out and go home. As I was walking back to my car, I heard a window break in the distance. I see a random man going into a toy shop that was closed during this time. I slowly walk towards the toy shop and look inside it, it was empty. I shrugged it off and walked back to my car and drove off. I head inside my house and turn on the TV.

*TONIGHT, A MAN BROKE INTO A CLOSED DOWN TOY SHOP AND STOLE THE MILLION DOLLAR TEDDY BEAR. IT'S EVERY KIDS DREAM TO GET THE HANDS-ON THAT TOY. PARENTS ARE TRYING TO GET THEIR HANDS ON IT BEFORE ITS GONE. WHAT WILL WE DO NOW*

Wait a minute, is that the same toy shop that I was just at. Oh god, I should've stopped it. I turned off the TV and rushed upstairs. I put on my sleeping clothes and went to bed, trying not to think about the incident.

"Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry about it."

"Don't worry about it."

Was all I could say.
