LISA POV
DECEMBER 16TH
I wake up, wash up, get dressed, and head down to the police station. There were a lot of cars today. I head inside, and every officer is in the cafeteria.
"OKAY LISTEN UP, TODAY IS A VERY IMPORTANT DAY FOR THIS PRECINCT, WE HAVE THE HONOR TO MEET WITH THE MAYOR. I WANT EVERYONE TO ACT MATURE THROUGH THE MEETING. NOW BEFORE WE LEAVE, I HAVE THIS SHEET OF PAPER THAT WILL TELL YOU WHO YOU WILL CARPOOL WITH," My Sargeant announced to the whole police division.
After he made the speech, I walk up to the carpool sheet and look who I have to drive with.
"Oh no," I said.
"Oh, yes."
I look behind me and see Brain, who was also looking at the sheet.
"Looks like you're going to ride with me, Lisa," he said.
"Just, don't do anything stupid," I replied.
The whole division was about to get ready to leave. I was in Brian's cop car, waiting for everyone else.
"Lisa Pizza, what are you doing tonight," he asked.
"How many times do I have to tell you, stop calling me that," I said.
"Alright, my bad," he said.
Just then, the sirens started to blare. The division was heading out. One by one, the cop cars were beginning to leave. We followed them and made our way into the city. I look out and see civilians just staring at us like we were some sort of parade. Finally, we got to the town hall where the Mayor was waiting outside for us. Brian parked the car, and we both made our way up the stairs.
"Welcome," the Mayor said.
My police Sargeant walks up to him and gives him a handshake.
"Its good to see Sean," the Mayor said.
"Its good to see you too," my Sargeant replied.
Huh, I didn't know my Sargeants name was Sean. The Mayor then welcomed all of us and led us into the town hall. I walked inside and saw portraits of all the previous mayors in the city. The building was all gold in the inside. It looked so outstanding. Anyways, the Mayor then led us to a room with chairs and a table of food. Wait, what is happening right now.
"As you all know, you have been the most successful precinct brand in the state as a reward. Your Sargeant and I have surprised all of you, with a little party," the Mayor said.
The whole division was shocked and happy at the same time. Before you know it, cops were going in line to get their food. I was just sitting at one of the tables waiting for the line to get shorter.
(A FEW HOURS LATER)
The party has been going on for a few hours, and I was just sitting on the balcony floor, just looking out in the city. I watched as little snowflakes were dropping from the sky. The city looked so beautiful during the night. Suddenly, I got a buzz from my phone. I checked it out, and it was Jungkook.
JUNGKOOK: Hey, where are you
LISA: I'm at town hall
JUNGKOOK: Why are you there
LISA: Its a party
JUNGKOOK: OKAY, WELL SEE YOU SOO, I GUESS
I put my phone away and just continue looking at the snowflakes fall. After staring at them for a while, head back inside, where I saw policemen just dancing on the dance floor. I just chuckled at them having fun. Anyways, I make my way to the back room where I could hear a conversation happening. I eavesdropped and listened to the discussion. From the voices, I could tell that it was my Sargeant and the Mayor.
(THE CONVERSATION)
"Why haven't' you still found the bear yet," the Mayor said.
"Listen, I have one of my female officers working on it," my Sargeant replied.
"Well, if you don't find that teddy bear, you will get fired."
"No, sir, please don't fire me."
"We had a deal, you find me the teddy bear. And you get to keep the money. You better find it."
(CONVERSATION ENDED)
What the hell was that all about. Anyways, both my police Sargeant and the Mayor made it out of the back room, and I just acted as if I wasn't listening in on their conversation. The party was close to finishing, and I was ready to head home. I got into the cop car with Brian and made it back to the precinct. I then went back to my vehicle and drove home. I don't know why, but I couldn't sleep. I was just thinking about that conversation that I overheard.
"Keep the money," I said to myself. "What does that even mean."
"Was Jungkook right about not trusting the cops," I asked myself.
Anyways, I brushed it off and got ready for bed. I brushed my teeth, changed into my sleeping clothes, and set my alarm. I then laid in bed, drifting into the deep wonders of sleep.
