DECEMBER 9TH

LISA POV

I rub my eyes as I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock. I snooze my alarm and get up from my bed. I head to my bathroom and wash up. After that, I walk downstairs and grab an energy bar out of my pantry. Mornings like these, I don't have time to good a proper breakfast for myself. Anyway, I packed my things and headed to my car.

*YAWN*

"I need to get some coffee," I said to myself.

I finally got to the precinct as I parked my car in front. I head inside and go into the girl's locker room. I put on my uniform and belt. After that, I headed to the cafeteria, where I went to the coffee machine and got some. Funny story, I actually didn't like coffee when I started the job, it had a weird taste. But that changed when I had to wake up early, and now I'm addicted to it.

"Lisa, just the girl I looking for," someone said.

I turn around and scoff.

"Good morning to you, Brian," I replied.

Just a little backstory, Brian is the worst human possible. He flirts with me every day, and I hate it. I just want to punch him in the face every time he does that. He's lucky that I'm a cop and our policy says if we attack our own, you get fired.

"Lisa, baby."

"Can you stop calling me that, I'm not your baby," I asked him.

"Come on, I was just asking if you would like to come to dinner with me tonight."

"No, now can you please leave me alone," I said.

Just then, our police Sargent came into the room.

"Lisa, I need you in my office now," he asked.

I grab my coffee and leave the cafeteria. I head up to where my Sargent was.

"What is it, sir," I asked.

"Lisa, last night, a man broke into a toy shop and stole the million-dollar teddy bear. We need to find out who did this."

"Okay, what are you going to do sir," I said.

"You mean, what are you going to do," my Sargent said.

"I'm sorry, what was that last part," I asked him.

"I'm putting you on this case, mam."

I was shocked, this is going to be my first case ever as an officer. Not only that, but this is also going to be the most significant case of the holiday.

"S~Sir are you sure I can do this," I asked him.

"I know you can," he responded.
