(Katniss POV)
When I first wake up, I notice a text message lighting up my screen. I look at the text to see it's from an unknown number.
you better watch out bitch. I'm coming for you -Delly.
How did she get my number? Only one person comes to mind, Peeta.
I pull on some clothes and head out to find Peeta.
"Katniss? Where are you going?" I look back at my dad who is currently making breakfast.
"I have to go talk to Peeta. I'll be back later." With that I'm out the door and onto the sidewalk. I have no idea where Peeta lives, but I do know where Johanna lives and I bet she can tell me.
I walk up to her house and knock on the door, her father answers.
"Hello, Katniss," He greets.
"Hi is Johanna here?"
"Yeah, let me go get her." He walks away, leaving me at the door standing awkwardly.
Johanna walks toward the door and looks at me weirdly.
"What are you doing here?" She asks rudely.
"I was wondering where Peeta lived."
"Uh why do you want to know?"
"Because I need to talk to him." She looks at me and grins.
"I'm not telling you, Figure it out yourself." With that she closes the door. How rude of her to do that. I knock on the door and she flings it open.
"What the hell do you want now?!" She asks obviously irritated.
"I'm not leaving here till you tell me where he lives."
"Well, looks like you'll be here awhile." She's about to close the door again but I put my foot in it so she can't.
"If I tell you why I need to talk to him will you tell me where he lives?" She opens the door again and looks at me.
"Maybe."
"Delly sent me a text and I need to ask him if he gave her my number or if he knows anything about it." She contemplates on telling me or not for a minute.
"Fine. Take a left at the stop sign and there is an ugly blue house, take a right at that and the house with the red car in the driveway is his house." I nod.
"Thanks." With that I start on my walk towards Peeta's house.
I get to his house and knock on the door impatiently. He opens the door and a smile appears on his face when he sees me.
"Hey." That smile just keeps growing bigger, along with the blush on his face when he notices he isn't wearing a shirt.
"Oh um let me just..." He runs upstairs and comes back down with a shirt on.
"What's up?" I decide to get straight to business.
"Did you give Delly my phone number?" He furrows his eyebrows in confusion.
"What? No. Why would I do that?" I pull out my phone and show him the text.
"She sent me this and I know you're the only person who would know my number so did you?"
"No, I didn't give her your number. I don't even know your number."
"Do you know who might have given it to her?" He shakes his head.
"I haven't talked to her." I nod.
"Thanks." He nods.
"Katniss, do you want me to talk to her?" I shake my head.
"It'll just make everything worse." With that I leave and make my way back home.
"Hey!" I look over to see Delly. I ignore her and keep walking home.
"I wanted to apologize to you." I look over at her.
"I realized that I shouldn't be mean to you since your new and stuff. I should've gotten to know you before I did all that. I'm sorry." I stop and look at her from her car.
"I guess it's okay. But what was that text all about?"
"That was Cashmere, not me I swear." I nod.
"Well, I'll see you around?" She asks.
"Yeah sure." with that she takes off. I feel like the apology wasn't genuine. I feel like I'm being set up. Maybe I am, maybe I'm not.
