5 years later.

It was strange being back, everything looked so similar but also completely different at the same time. My moms house now had roses and sunflowers instead of marigolds and pansies in the front. A black door instead of red, the list continued. I take our luggage out of the Uber and pile it all together. I take Gigi's hand as we cross the small road toward my moms house. My mom knew we were moving back our flight was just a little early. I knock. It takes a while but a couple minutes later she appears at the door, her hair in a wrap still wearing lounge wear. "Oh you guys are here, earlier too. Oh come in give me your things." My mom helps me pull our luggage into the house and she squeezes me. Giulietta is clinging to my leg and I have to reassure her that everything's fine. She's not a shy kid but for almost 6 very sarcastic. "Go and see grandma. She's missed you." She let's go of my leg and slowly walks over that turns into a fast run.

We spend hours talking, eating, catching up, unpacking, I showed Gigi her new room. My mum had redecorated Kate's old room to suit a little girl and my room was pretty much the same. After dinner we're sitting on the sofa. "Mom, is Luca still around?" I ask. She smiles.
"Yeah actually. Still in the same house. Why?" She asks back.
"I wanted to visit. Can I take your car?" I smile trying to convince my mom.
"Of course. There's a seat in the back for Gigi. I'll see you later?" She explains passing me the key and heading towards the kitchen after kissing my head. I get Gigi's shoes on and fasten up her jacket. "Let's go baby, we're going to see a friend."

When we arrive the house is the exact same, in all its glory. I park the car and climb out unclipping Gigi and taking her hand. She wanted to knock the door it's quite quiet. I knock again. Almost immediately a girl with a short black bob hair style appears at the door. "Hi, how can I help." She smiling but I look like I might have woken her.

"We we're coming to see Luca. Is he home?" I ask not really wanting to intrude.

"He's not but come inside he shouldn't be too long. I'm Lola. Just take a seat in there he should only be about 10 minutes." She says pointing towards the foyer.

Me and Gigi sit, after about 15 minutes and no appearance of Luca or the girl we get ready to leave. When I hear someone walking across the room from behind me. "Hi Um Luca called and said he'd be staying-" when I turn my head round he stops.
"Your kidding right." His face just seems to keep getting smilier and smilier. He almost clears the chair that's in the way and embraces me so tightly. Its Gianni.

"No I'm not kidding. I'm back." We stand like that for a couple of minutes and I feel Gigi clinging to my leg. "Mum... muuum." We both step back and he sits down.

"Oh my goodness. Look how big she is. Hi Gigi." He smiles , he looks so happy to see her. However she just looks confused on why someone is so excited to see her.

"How long are you back for? Why did you come to visit Luca and not me?" He smirks that smirk I know all to well.

I sit down next to him and pull Gigi up on my knee. "We're back for good. I didn't think you'd still be around." The conversation is cut short when the short haired girl walks back in. The energy in the room is different now. A tension there wasn't before.

"Oh you came to see Luca, I didn't realise you knew Gianni?" Her voice goes up at the end like a question but of course I know him.

"Yeah... okay I'm going to go have to get Gigi back in time for bed. Maybe see you around." I stand to leave and Gigi takes my hand, she's getting tired. They both walk us to the door but Lola stays at the end of the foyer. I kiss Gianni's cheek and walk out, not thinking too much about it until I hear a squabble happen between the two and I hear Gianni say 'it's a European thing'

After I have clipped in Gigi to her seat and gave her a blanket I get into the car to drive away when Gianni comes running out. He's waving something and I roll down the window. "You forgot this." He shouts as he approaches the car. I check the back and see I didn't take anything else in with me . " it's about 5years too late but it's yours" he laughs passing me his sweatshirt that I used to wear all the time.

"Thank you... Let Luca know I stopped by. Hopefully see you both soon." I smile kissing his cheek through the window and he walks back to the house. I put up my window and begin the drive home.

I wake up feeling so hot, last night Gigi was settled in her own bed and room but now she's pressed up against my side. "Mum... mum." She starts to wake up and I hear my name leave her lips. She starts wriggling around and her eyes finally open. "Hi baby." I smile hugging her and feeling her little arms around me.

Me and Gigi head down for breakfast, my mom has eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit, cereals all set up on the counter for us along side sauces and fruit juices. She liked to go over there to for some things and breakfast is one of them. "Hi good morning. So nice to have yous back, I can't quite believe it!... I'm working in about two hours so I can stay for a short breakfast and be home for dinner later on." Smiles my mom pulling out a glass and filling it with fruit juice.
"Yeah that sounds nice we were going to visit Luca anyway since we missed him last night but we'll be back for dinner." I reassure my mom and we all start loading out plates with the food she has made.

After my mom had left for work me and Gigi got to ourselves together and got in the car to go to Lucas. We're almost there and Gigi is still asleep in the back of the car. As I pull up to the house it looks so peaceful, quiet. Something I used to love about coming here when I was younger. I turn the car off and jump out opening the back door to unclip Gigi. She wakes up a little but clings to me and I carry her towards the door. As I get closer I can smell good food, someone's cooking. I ring the door bell and wait for a couple of seconds. When it starts to open I get nervous then excited. "Hi Luca"
