Tony watched as the doors at the end of the hall swung open and steve, motionless and once again intubated lay completely surrounded by doctors and nurses. He jumped up and jogged in their direction, Natasha followed closely, "how is he?!" He shouted when he got to his side and looked straight at dr. Ashad.

He exhaled loudly, "he's doing well," he smiled and they backed him into the room, "he tore some of his healing skin which cause some internal bleeding but it was controlled quickly and as soon as he comes out of anesthesia, we'll take him off the vent."

Tony nodded, "ya, ya, and once that happens, he's getting out of here." Natasha stood with her arms crossed directly at his side.

"Excuse me?" Dr. Ashad asked

"As soon as he wakes up we're leaving. This place isn't equipped to make sure he makes a proper recovery and we should have figured that out sooner,"

"Sir, I don't believe that's a good—"

"Its the best idea in the interest of our friend here," Natasha stared and continued, "we have a team of doctors preparing for his arrival."

"Miss—"

"It's Agent, thank you for all you've done but the stunt your nurse pulled was it" Natasha stepped forward, "I suggest you start pulling up the papers necessary."

He stood in front of them for a second then slowly turned and walked to the nurses station.

Tony sighed after he left the room and basically collapsed into the chair behind him. "Finally," he let out a chuckle, "I need a change of scenery."

Natasha smiled and sat on the other side of his bed, "you're not the only one... how soon is his room going to be ready at the tower?"

"They've already started, it shouldn't take more than another hour or two. I called in a favour with banner and he's about an hour out too."

"Good."

He picked at his fingers and continued talking "there's a room already set up for you." She raised her eyebrows and looked up at her with a smile, "assuming you'd want to. You guys are obviously close and you've barely left his side, it's right across the hall from you and I have a shooting range on the 40th floor."

She smiled wide, "thank you tony."

He smiled back and added "besides you're not as horrible as I initially thought."

She laughed, "you call that an apology?"

He scoffed, "closest thing you're going to get from me." He stood up to fix the pillow behind steves head. Before sitting back down he added, "oh, if you tell anyone I cried Natasha, i sweat to god..."

She laughed and shook her head, "I'm not going to make that promise, and you don't threaten me."

They both continued to babble between each other until they finally noticed steve twitching and slowly waking up. Dr. Ashad came in to remove the tube once more, and left after explaining what happened shortly.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

He cleared his throat and frowned, "like I need to get out of this damned bed." She raised her eyebrows and smirked.

"Language, Captain." He let out a struggled chuckle and coughed.

Tony held the straw of his water cup to his lips, "well you're getting out of this place right now." He smiled and put the cup down after steve basically downed the entire thing.

"What? How?"

Tony shrugged, "well technically you're still going to be on bed rest but you don't have to stay here. I have rooms being set up for everyone at my tower and a team of trustworthy doctors and nurses setting everything up."

"Tony you don't have to—"

"No, I do, i guess you're spending the night at my place this time." He smiled and winked at him.

Steve reached out his hand, his wrist still wrapped in a cast, "thank you tony" tony grabbed it tightly and didn't let go.

The truth was that he had to get out of there, no matter what. He was terrified on the inside but didn't want to show it, and being in one of the most secure buildings in New York, surrounded by people trusted by tony and he was assuming shield, he was excited. "That also means I get to get out of this dress right?" They all laughed a bit and Tony laid a kiss on his forehead and sat back down.
