Bruce walked straight into the room to check in on steve, he was looking at his tablet as he entered and told Jarvis to open the blinds, which revealed the both of them fast asleep next to each other.
Tony winced against the light, "oh, sorry" Bruce said and continued to stand in the doorway, "I was just checking on the captain."
Tony grumbled and sat up, "yeah, good," he rubbed his eyes and yawned, "what time is it?"
"12:04" Bruce answered.
"What? Really?" Tony got out of the bed and steve woke up because of the movement. "I don't think I've ever slept that long" he raised his eyebrows.
Steve tried to reposition himself, but yet again could barely move because of the casts. "When can these things come off" he grumbled and tony sat back down next to him.
Bruce answered, "that's what I'm here to look at today, I want to get some X-rays and see how your progressing. Normally a person would be in the cast for up to 12 weeks, but the serum makes it difficult to tell when that'll happen."
Steve frowned and tried sitting up, tony stuck as many pillows as he could behind his back to support him, "I need to get out of this bed," he leaned his head back and tony saw that the scar along his face was now almost completely gone.
Tony got the wheelchair from the corner of the room and rolled it to the side of the bed, "let's do just that," with the help of Bruce, they got him to the edge of the bed and into the chair.
"Before you go anywhere I want to check on the incision from your surgery" he squatted down and lifted his shirt enough to reveal the long bandage along the middle of his abdomen. He pulled off the bandage and replaced it with a clean one, "that'll probably be mostly healed by the end of the day, just take it easy"
"Not like i can do much" steve chuckled and sat up in the chair.
"Okay come on, I'm gonna show you something" tony said and started pushing him into the hallway, "Bruce I'll catch up to you later."
Bruce nodded and continued inputting info into his tablet.
"Where are we going?" Steve asked.
"You'll see," tony replied and pressed the button for the elevator. When they got inside, tony pressed the button for the top floor and they rolled out as soon as they opened back up.
"Tony..." steve said skeptically as they went through the messy floor covered in tarps and construction tools.
"Just wait." He answered and got to a sliding door. It was opened and they both went out onto the massive balcony overlooking the entire city. The sun was setting over the New York skyline and light beamed off of windows. "What do you think?"
Steve smiled, "it's great tony" he rested his hand over tonys which was on his shoulder, "thank you" he said and smiled slightly.
"Of course," tony smiled and gave him a kiss. He walked around his wheelchair, and pulled a chair right next to him.
