"That was the stupidest idea and demonstration I ever saw," Andrew said rubbing his eyes.
It's been 4 hours, we are looking for new talent and ideas to fund for. So far we've got 4 ideas that we are interested in.
"Theresa! Can you call in the next person?" I asked Theresa who is with me and Andrew listening to all pitches.
She nodded a yes and left the room. I stretched my legs before the other person came in. The door opened and reveal a young girl who is pretty nervous. She gave me and Andrew a smile which made her hit a chair and is about to fall but Andrew helped her up.
She reminded me of Amaya. She is still busy with her grandparents, and we are not able to meet. She sneaked in here yesterday during her lunch break, and we had lunch together. And we are gonna meet her tomorrow, so I'm excited to meet her again. It's always like meeting her for the first time.
"Hi! My name is Hannah. My idea is to prevent Identity theft. As we all know that's the main problem in this generation. I have an idea to use the RFID scanners they use against them to prevent identity theft." She started saying.
I looked at Andrew to get his approval, and he nodded his head. She started explaining how it's gonna work for another 20 min. She also gave us another idea about a Touch Id padlock.
After her, we listened to a few more ideas, and we were done with the day. I looked at the clock it was way past 10. Andrew and I walked to our rooms to get our stuff and leave.
I went into my room and picked up my phone only to find 250 missed calls. I looked at the caller list at first it was Amaya at 5:30 and later it was dad, mom, Arjun, Harish Uncle, and Sophie.
Before I could call them back, I saw Andrew running towards my room.
"Amy got into an accident. She is at the hospital. Let's go." He said with worry and sadness and pain written all over his face.
Is he kidding? I hope so. I could literally see her calling me just 5 hours back. Andrew dragged me to the hospital we didn't talk anything on the way.
We ran into the hospital leaving the car at the entrance. We went to the 4th floor and as soon as the elevator door opened my body went numb.
Vasudha Aunty and Maa are crying. Her grandpa is staring into the abyss. Uncle Harish is walking around, and Ananya and Sampath are here too. Dru is hugging Vasudha aunty and Arjun is standing by them. This is real, the pain in their face shows that Amy got into an accident.
I could hear my heartbeat getting louder with each step I'm taking toward them. Uncle Harish saw me and Andrew and came toward us.
"Thank god! You are here. We've been calling you. Can you go in and see how my daughter is?" He pleaded with me.
I felt numb, I need some time to breathe. This can't be happening, not to Maya. Please god! Please.
"What happened?" Andrew asked Harish Uncle.
"I don't know. The people who got her here said that a drunk truck driver came on to the other side and ran over her." He said and I couldn't hear more. I don't wanna know more. I wanna see her. I ran towards the room and saw Sophie coming out.
"How is she?" I asked her with all the strength I could muster.
"We can't say anything as of now. She is really critical. Don't worry, your dad's her surgeon and your moms with him too. They are trying every they can." She said and left in a hurry.
