It was completely a stupid thing, he was helping Forth put a new closet on the new apartment he and Beam got, he had accepted the invitation to help mostly because he would be alone watching movies and missing Pha, so he didn't knew how Laem and other ex classmates from engineer ended there doing remodelations to the place, the thing was that one moment he was ok joking and smiling and the next he was on the floor because Laem tripped over the ladder that was holding him

"Shit!" Forth jumped from the other ladder and kneeled next to him "did you hit your head?"

"Ming?"

"Fuuuuuck, something happened to my arm!!" he said with gritted teeth "is it broken?"

"Fucking- can't you see?" Laem almost screamed getting around the fallen ladder

"I really don't want to open my eyes" he really had closed his eyes and refused to see if his arm was bended in a weird angle or not but it hurt like hell

"stop touching it!!, it fucking hurts!" he tried to pull his arm away from Forth

"Why does this fucking things happen to you in my presence!!??" Forth checked him over quickly

"Maybe you are bad luck to him! Forth" commented Laem getting the tools and ladder away so they could move

"Hahahaha, i'm starting to think that too" Ming laughed and then groaned in pain

"Come on, i'll help you stand up, let's take you to the hospital, Laem please take care of the house for a while"

"Sure, sure, go on"

"i'm gonna puke!" Ming threatened when the seat belt pulled a little his arm

"Don't you dare!, Beam would kill me" Forth rummage around to give him a plastic bag

"Gee, thanks P! I'm really touched you care so much for me!!"

"Shut it Ming!, we are almost there"

"Aghh I hate my life" Ming groaned resting his head on the window

"At least you are not going to work in a few days"

They got to the hospital relatively fast so the walked to the emergency room to give his information

"Do you need to lie down?" Asked Forth trying to keep Ming comfortable "here, sit" he walked him to a waiting chair "It's going to take a while, because there are other patients with severe injuries"

"Yeah ok, that's fine" he leaned back and closed his eyes, body all tight trying no to move an inch, it barely passed a few minutes when a doctor got to him and started asked questions about his fall, it was a fracture, and they needed to wait more, almost 2 hours latter Ming felt and heard his phone ringing, he moved so Forth could take it out of his pocket and showed him

"shit Phana is calling! It's a video call"

"Ohh god! Don't answer!!" Ming moaned "he's is going to get so mad"

"Are you crazy?, answer now! He is going to eviscerate me for this!" he made a movement with his hands pointing to his arm

"Fuck, ok, ok, give it to me" he tried not to move and slide his finger to answer "hey Pha" he tried to smile

"Hey pretty" came the voice and smile from his P, he was lying in bed, comfy shirt and was probably expecting to see Ming at their home "Where are you?"

"Hummm, well... you see, i had a little accident"

"Where are you Mingkwan?" the voice changed immediately, and was now sitting in the bed trying to look closer at his phone "P'Forth got me to the emergency room, but it's ok P!"

"How is this okay?! You're in the hospital!?"

"I fell from a ladder, and hit my arm, the nurse said displaced fracture, the bone on each side of the break aren't aligned and-"

"I know what a fucking displaced fracture is! MING!"

"Why are you screaming at me?, it was an accident! You know what, i'll call you tomorrow" he ended the call even if Phana was screaming not to on the other side. He tried to call again a few times before giving up.

10 minutes later he called Forth, he saw who was calling and took a few steps away "Hey"

"is he going into surgery?" Phana didn't say hello, opting to get fast to the point he needed to know

"No, doctor says is not necessary, they are going to give him a sedative, they say something about a cast but they have to wait-"

"Yea they have to wait to the swelling to go down... fuck"

"We have been here a few hours, they already gave him something for the swelling and we still have to wait for the x-ray, he is already miserable, you need to talk to him" Forth was looking at Ming, his friend was getting frustrated, and Pha mood didn't help

"Is he mad?" came the quiet question

"Well, you kind of went all angry, it was an accident Phana" Forth walked back to the chairs "Here!, talk to him" and then gave Ming a dad look "this time don't hang up"

Ming took the phone and answered with a harsh "What"

"Im sorry Ming, i just... fuck i want to be there, i need to be there" there was a small quiver in his voice but Ming heard it, and the anger dissipated as quickly as it came.

"Phana, is not a big deal, little boys break their arms like once in their lives, this is just me, getting late to the event"

"Be honest with me, tell me to go there and i'll take the next plane available"

"Of course no! Pha! What's going on? How can you say that!?"

"I can't stop thinking in the last time you were at the hospital" his breathing was a little shaky "and i want to be there and hold your hand"

Mings throat was suddenly tight, and his eyes started to sting with the tears "Pha...i don't want to cry" he couldn't hold a wet laugh

They stayed silent for a while, but the nurse came back to take him to the x-ray

"I have to go P"

"Ming, don't stay at home alone, go to Wayo's or stay with Forth ok?"

"Ok...Phana" he said in a soft voice "bye" he gave back the phone to Forth who put it in his ear again

"Hey don't worry, i'll take care of him"

"Hmm, make sure my moon doesn't break any other bones before I return" he was a little sad, couldn't wait to be over with the practice year

"You'll be back before he gets off the cast, I'll swaddle him in bubble wrap if necessary ok?"

"Fine!, make him call me before he sleeps" These will be the longest months of my life

"Hmm, bye bye now"
