Kairi's pov.

I sighed deeply as i sat in the car. I was so done. i know him not knowing what i work as wasn't a big deal, but with all the shit going on...? it seems like a lot.

i'm tired of the lying.

Just the way mattia seemed like he didn't care. I feel like he barely knows me.

He doesn't know how i feel about him staying late and partying while doing drugs.

and in case you didn't know, i feel like shit. i wanted him to spend more time with me, obviously.

I drove out of the city, and to roberts house. He lived just outside of new york, so it was a 20 minute drive. minus the traffic that was at least 30 minutes.

I felt my phone buzzing in my back pocket, surely mattia freaking the fuck out.

As soon as i arrived at roberts, i rang the doorbell at least 20 times.

"jesus, oh kai. what're you doing here?"

"can i just stay here? i'll explain later." i asked, silently begging for a yes.

"yeah yeah come inside, alejandro is still here."

so maybe i lied about going to a fancy dinner. it was just at roberts house.

I smiled warmly as i saw ale on the couch.

"did you forget something?" ale smirked, patting the seat next to him. I shook my head, feeling slight butterflies in my stomach.

"i don't really know, mattia is acting weird and i feel like i just need a break. i'm probably gonna go back there tomorrow." i sighed deeply, laying my head on his shoulder.

"oh...anyways..there's someone you should meet." alejandro muttered so only i could hear him. "hunter?!" he screamed, scaring me slightly.

"jesus christ." i shuddered. but then i padding down the stairs.

"yeah ale? oh, who's this?"

I looked up to see one of the most attractive men i've ever seen. He had light brown hair, and deep hazel eyes. He was wearing a white button up, with long sleeves, with black and white striped dress pants.

"this is kairi, he's here because hes going through a rough patch with his uhm..."

"boyfriend. for too long." i spoke softly, standing up to hug the boy in front of me.

"oh,," He slowly wrapped his arms around me. We swayed slightly, and i started to giggle.

After i pulled away, he looked down at me. "your eyes are really pretty hunter."

"thank you." he laughed as well, sitting next to me.

Ale got off the couch, "i'll let you too get comfortable." he left the room, probably going to find robert.

"so...your boyfriend.."

"oh yeah. we're going through a rough bit. i think it's over." i said sadly, "but honestly it's really reliving."
