Mattia's pov.

I pushed blu to the floor. "hunter, really?"

She had complete terror in her eyes, as her body hit the tile. "w-what're you talking about?"

"you know exactly what i'm talking about." I grabbed her shirt and took her to my office.

She sat in the chair with her head down.

"care to explain?" i wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt so badly, but i don't think kairi would lie to me.

"hunter called me a few weeks ago. he said he could pay me more than just friendship if i gave him updates on you or kairi." she said, barely above a whisper.

"and i assume you took it. even though you know i pay you." i leaned back, not really that phased. i knew eventually hunter would do this.

"he said he could pay me more."

"mhm. have you told lili?"

she shook her head, "hunter asked me to break up with her just to make it easier."

"are you going to?" i made it seem like she had any sort of option.

"i'm trying to. but i just can't."

"but you can take a job for hunter." i tsked, and stood. "how about we go tell lili?"

"no- no please no!" she begged.

"fine. i'll tell her." i grinned, calling in two guards to take her downstairs with me.

"lili!" i called out, finding her in her room on her phone.

"hi!" she said happily. but i could see it was fake.

"come here darling ive got some news for you." i took her hand, walking her upstairs.

"w-why are we in your office ? we never com-"

"this is about blu." i said steadily, seeing blu and the guards at the front of the door. "you have to break up with her." i smirked, seeing blu squirm.

"do you know how long i've been waiting for someone to tell me that." she mumbled, her head down.

"what?"

"with the way she's been treating me, i've needed someone to tell me." Lili looked up with tears rolling down her cheeks.

"how's she been treating you?" i raised an eyebrow, eyeing blu in the corner.

"she's been mentioning claire a lot. how she liked her more. how claire was better at everything than me.." she choked out, her face turning red. "she doesn't even know how much it hurts."

I stood and walked over to her, pulling her into a hug. "i'm sorry love. we'll find someone who actually cares."

"thank you mattia." she breathed out, "is it okay if i go out tonight?"

"take alejandro with you. i don't want you to get hurt." i put a hand on her cheek, lightly tapping it. "you don't have to exactly hang out with him but make sure he's there."

"of course." lili stood as well, moving the hair out of her face. "maybe i'll buy some bright pink hair dye to make myself feel better."

"ah yes, let me give you some money. perhaps you'd like dinner or a drink."

"bye lili!" i said loudly as she walked off. "if she gets hurt i'll hurt you." i chuckled to alejandro, "and i'll get rid of that butler."

Alejandro looked at me with fear, "yes sir." he ran off in the taxi with lili.

I strolled back inside, deciding that kairi needed my attention. I walked to my room, opening the door and seeing him passed out on the bed.

I slowly undressed him, putting him in a silk set of pajamas and then put him under the silk sheets he always wanted.

His condition was horrible. He looked mentally tired and well, physically too. it was a whole mess.

after i turned off the light, i had blu in my office again.

"call hunter again."

"okay, but do you really have to smoke while i do it?" she was referring to the blunt i was currently wrapping.

"u-uh. yeah." i pushed my hair back, licking the end together to seal it. "shouldn't bother you, you used to smoke meth." i laughed, lighting it after it was sealed.

"whatever." she picked up her phone and began dialing his phone number, waiting for him to pick up.

I leaned back in my chair, waiting for hunter answer.

"hello?"

"hey hunter , it's blu. i just wanted to let you know that i think....sorry give me a second mattia is coming." she put the phone on mute. "what do you want me to say?"

i shrugged, inhaling the drug. "come up with something."

she slowly breathed, unmuting the phone. "sorry about that, mattia was coming into the kitchen."

"it's all good, just make sure he doesn't find out. anyways, what did you want to say?"

"you wanted me to update you on kairi. he's in critical condition and mattia is considering on taking him to the hospital."

i raised a brow, smiling as i heard hunter groan.

"do not let mattia take him to the hospital. they'll find out what kairi did."

"yes sir." and with that she hung up.

"ah good job blu." i mocked, "now what did kairi do?"

she mumbled something, so i called the guards over. One of them had a knife to her neck, "speak up bitch. you know how things work around here."

"hunter made kairi..." she paused, sighing deeply, "he made kairi kill his boss and co workers, then blame you."

My eyes widened, "kairi...killing people? sounds kinda hot."

"i'm serious mattia. he sent me footage of kairi doing it."

"okay...? i never said you were lying. you make it seem like killing people is bad." i laughed, pulling the blunt to my lips and slowly exhaling.

"really? you don't think killing is bad?"

"well, if you have a good solid reason, i dont see why it ain't a bad thing."

she rolled her eyes at me, "fine then kill me."

"eh i don't have a solid reason." i got up, sitting on the front of my desk.

"but i literally worked with hunter."

"yeah, so did kairi. i'm not over here killing him. anyways...what sounds more fun..? the room with no bed or the room with no bed." i shook my head while snickering to myself.

i referred to the basement, where the rooms were all empty, other than the wine cellar. ( ;) ) normally i kept people down there who had hurt me or my business.

"no no no! i'm not going in the basement!"

"wait, did i hear you wrong? you'd rather have the torture room? maybe you could invite hunter!"

i know it seemed like i was laughing too much, but it's true. i couldn't stop. this was too funny. i honestly don't know why hunter tried to do this sooner.
