Mattia's pov.

Hunter squirmed against the knife.

"quit moving or you'll get cut." i grumbled,. "i'm going to let you go because i hear kairi crying. But if you get on my nerves one more fucking time...i'll make sure you have a slow and painful death." i whispered, dropping him and letting the knife slightly pierce his skin on his neck.

He groaned in pain, hitting his head on the wall.

I rolled my eyes and walked out, still having the blunt between my fingers. i took a drag, exhaling.

Kairi smiled when he saw me. "p-please."

"don't worry." i picked him up and took him to my car. Alejandro began to drive, staying silent as i held kairi.

"i-is he dead?"

"no. i need to take care of you first."

Kairi had passed out on my bed. The bruises on his face and body becoming more evident.

"is he okay?" lili asked as i closed the door behind me.

"i don't know. he went unconscious before i could ask him anything." i shrugged, "i'm gonna call the medic team."

I frowned and walked downstairs. Blu was scratching her head, "do you plan on staying in there with him?"

"no. he needs space."

"no mattia. he needs you." blu spoke, going into the kitchen and getting me a glass of water.
- Kairi's pov.

i woke up slowly. i didn't know where i was until i recognized mattias room.

my body was incredible pain, and i couldn't move. My phone was on my chest, so i called mattia.

sooner or later he came rushing in, and pulled me in his lap. "how're you feeling?"

"how did i get here?" i mumbled, feeling my busted lip.

"you called me after hunter beat you. i came and picked you up, and took you here. you passed out." He said softly, rubbing my head.

"is hunter, d-dead?" i stuttered, fearful that maybe mattia had finally snapped and killed him.

"not yet." he smiled, "do you need anything? ice, water, juice?"

"water."

He nodded and held me as he walked downstairs. Blu was making dinner, her long brown hair getting in the way. Lili stared at her in adoration, her head in her hands and lips pouted out.

it reminded me of mattia. I would make dinner and he would stare at me while he sat at the bar.

i'd tell him staring was rude , but then he would say it's rude of me to be that adorable.

i wonder what happened. i mean, i know drugs obviously. but what really caused him to disappear.

"hey mattia?" i asked as he sat me on the couch. he was about to walk off.

"yeah?"

"did you ever cheat on me when we were together?" I said tears brimming my eyes.

"no, darling i didn't. i would never." he said confidently, "why do you say?"

"i'm pretty sure hunter has cheated on me several times." i rubbed my eyes, but then winced when immense pain shot through my body.

"i wouldn't be surprised." he said and walked off.
