( SYNOPSIS. )
𝓣he story of Dallas Maxwell is simple—and frankly, nothing special. She was born into Abnegation, the faction that favors selflessness. For most of her living life, she's learned to give to others before herself. To do what's right for the greater good.
𝓑ut Dallas is just like any other teenager: rebellious against the nature taught to her since birth. Forced to choose a faction to spend the rest of her life in, Dallas is finally able to choose something for herself and not for others. Her choice shocks her faction, but not so much her family . . . or herself.
𝓞nce decisions are made, the newest members are forced to undergo an extreme initiation process, which has devastating consequences. Dallas can feel herself transforming into someone new—into someone better—but as she excels, she realizes she must determine who is friend and who is foe—and if the people she thought she knew are really on her side.
𝓑ecause Dallas is observant. She knows more than she lets on. And those observations are bound to get her in trouble. But she was going to doing whatever it takes to make things right, even at the cost of her own life.
