CHAPTER XVI

She didn't expect to see her mom, the very one and only Abigail, Abby Griffin, standing next to her when she thought it was Lexa. Thanks god she was not about to kiss the girl and goes deeply into a fire make out session. Clarke was really shocked by the news, and for Abby, it was okay, she didn't care. All she was, was happy to see her daughter, who was now in college ! She had grown up so fast, she could remember all the good moments she had with Clarke, when she was a child, and well, when Jake was still alive....

"Hum, oh, that is, embarrassing, well... what are you doing here ?"

Her mom answered "Hey honey, no that is fine I don't care, and well I'm here to see if my daughter is okay, but I can see that one day in college, and she is already having sex with a girl at 11pm" and she laughed for a few seconds, her laugh was so pure. Clarke took a shocked face "Hey nooo, we were just sleeping actually, and what ? how do you even know it's a girl, you're like stalking me or what ?" And Clarke laughed too. Abby looked at her in the eyes and reacted, "Honey, you are eating cereal at eleven, without pants, smelling a perfume which is not even yours, even someone who don't know you could figure it out."

The two girl smiled at each other before reaching the couch. They spoke for a bit, mostly about school and her mom's job, about how she was doing too. The mood was calm, everything was cool. Clarke was being curious, because her mom avoided the topic of the man she was seeing. "Now that you know my girl, maybe you can talk about your man huh ?" and Clarke looked at her, right in the eyes. "Well I don't even know her name darling", "Her name is Lexa, and maybe you'll have the chance to see her if she dares to wake up" said the blonde while she softly smiled. Abby answered "Okay so with Marcus, we had had out 6th or 7th date, we've already have done it, and he thinks about living with me" and the adult smiled thinking about her lover.

Clarke laughed awkwardly before reacting "Ho ! That is a detail I didn't need, but I'm happy for you that you have moved on since Dad, I wish Kane is a good man, you deserve it." And they continued talking for a while. Lexa was still asleep. Octavia and Murphy had left for more than three hours now. Tomorrow was school for Clarke (and Lexa too but in a different way of course), and the blonde will discover a few more teachers. Mainly the most important ones because she'll have mathematics, physic and chemistry. Those three subjects were almost her most important ones, because they constitute the science field. And Clarke needs to study science as she'll be a doctor...

*Lexa's POV*
I was still asleep. I remembered when I went to sleep, I was into Clarke's arms, it was really peaceful and I felt so safe. But another part of me was disturbed by the fact that there was nothing else next to me. The bed was cold, the sheets too. My body was half covered with the blanket, so Clarke who was with me, was probably not anymore. I checked my phone on the table. It was almost 11:30pm, maybe I should go back to my house and leave Clarke alone. I got up and saw that the tea I had left on the table too, has been drank. I now headed to the bathroom and I heard some noises downstairs.

I could heard laughs but I don't know from who. I was going to close the bathroom's door when I hear Clarke yelled "Leeeex, bring your ass here" and there were no more noises, everything went silent. To calm the atmosphere I allowed myself to make a joke while I headed downstairs "Hey Clarke you forgot to say to bring the ass you love I think hum" and my joke made the girl laughed, my mission was accomplished ! But maybe not in the way I intended because I heard her answer and, well, it was not expected that way. "Of course yeah, but that is not the kind of thing my mom needs to hear honey" and she bursted into a harder laughter.

Oh fuck that is true, a woman was standing next to Clarke. The two were extremely similar, and to be honest if Clarke looks like her mom when she gets old, I marry her now no problem... I hated myself. First time to see Mrs.Griffin and I fucked this up. Really. I'm such a dumbass oh my god. Clarke was still laughing and her mom was just smiling at me. She seems really nice actually, even if I didn't made the best 1st contact, I could probably can't make it worst. I smiled to both the girls in front of me. The mom got up and stood next to me, she gave me her hand and I shaked it softly. "Hi I'm Clarke's mom Abigail, but you can call me Abby" and Abby smiled.

I simply answered "Hey Abby, I'm Alexandria Woods but you can call me Lexa, nice to meet you" She smiled again and she reacted a few seconds later "Okay Lexa, I'm finished here I'm going back home, please let my daughter sleep a bit tonight right ?" I honestly don't know how to react. And Clarke got it, she let out a small "Mom !", and went outside with her mom. During that time, I gathered all my stuffs, like my keys, my bag, and I waited for Clarke to say goodbye. Actually her mom was right, Clarke needed to sleep. I mean before our nap, she wasn't even able to have a normal conversation.

It took a long time for Clarke to come back but, I heard her footsteps outside the door. So I got up, ready to go home. She opened the door and noticed I was on the go. "You are leaving ?", "Yeah I'm tired and your mom is right, you need to sleep". She took a few steps closer to me, our head were only a few inches away. "Okay, I'll you tomorrow maybe, and also, I-I didn't know what to say when you talk to me, that is just that... that I think I see you as more than just a friend, and I would like more with you, I-I-I don't know if it make sens but...", "Hey baby calm down it's okay, we don't have to talk about it right now, also, you're cute when you're stressed out haha". She hugged me and I left the house.
