CHAPTER XVII

Second day of school. Nothing particular, Clarke met Octavia before going to class, all her morning was occupied with a very too long math lecture. But it was okay, Clarke always succeed in math. On top of that their teacher, Mrs.Franko was actually very good. As the usual lunch, they found back Murphy, Monty and Harper. It was always this way since high school. And also one must add, that Monty and Harper are also dating since the beginning of high school, so yeah it was for a long time. They spoke about various subjects, but not on how Monty's mom was an ass haha, not this time. But the lunch break was almost finished, it was time to go back to class, very boring class this afternoon.

Seconds felt like minutes, really long minutes, during this class. Clarke wasn't paying attention, it was really boring. In fact it was spanish, but even the teacher wasn't spanish, so yeah, nonsense... One more hour before her two hours lecture in physic and chemistry. According to the school noises, the physic and chemistry teacher was really good, Clarke was really looking forward to see that by herself as it is her favorite subject. Octavia wasn't really happy about this two hours of straight science, maybe a little too much to handle for her... But for now, history again, like yesterday, with the Titus guy. The bell rang after this class, only one more and they would be done for the day.

But thankfully, they had a kind of short break before having to think again. The duo went outside, to look for Murphy probably. And they did, he was already sitting on the floor under the sun, listening to music and judging people walking next to him, a normal 'Murphy moment' Clarke thought. Octavia run toward her friend and sat with him, closely followed by the blonde. No one dare to talk, because they have like nothing to say, they saw each other two hours ago ! So they just joined the boy in his judging people activity. Clarke remarked that this school counted a majority of girl, but wow, some of them looked really dumb. Octavia noticed the group of dumb girls as well, and let escaped a small laughed.

The two girls were stopped by John who said "Here she comes !" while looking right through Clarke's blue eyes. It was Lexa. The Lexa Woods, stunning as always, and holding her cup of coffee with one hand, and a pile of books in the other. To be honest the teacher look, on top of the nerd's glasses, was exactly what Clarke needed. But the break was almost done, Lexa was far away, Clarke was still unsure of how to act with her at school. And on top of that, the brunette didn't even looked at her. Anddd, the pause was finished, the bell rang, all you can see was the campus filled up by thousands and thousands of students.

Murphy was still not with them in class so the trio said goodbye in a corridor' corner. Octavia looked at her phone to find the room, and as always they arrived just before being late. They took the two first tables, because yeah, Clarke Griffin and Octavia Blake were good students (sometimes...) and now were waited for the teacher to arrive. Clarke reminded O that according to rumors, this teacher was supposed to be good. In the middle of a group discussion with their neighbors, the door has been opened. And what a surprise it was to Clarke. What a surprise it was to see a familiar face standing against the door. What a great fucking surprise to see the one and only Marcus Kane, yeah, her mom's boyfriend she had seen in pictures.

This year, the blonde was very unlucky, because it felt like she already knew all her teachers, but in a wrong way. First her crush, now him ? Who is next ? But according to Clarke, there was still a slight tray of hope, that he didn't know about it... Maybe he didn't know her mom's last name. Maybe he didn't know her mom has a daughter. Maybe he didn't know what Clarke looks like. But, the way he looked at her. Of course he knew. But it didn't matter, her goal was to have good grades, she didn't care about who the man was. Maybe she'll meet him in a more private context someday. The class was passing quite quickly, because the rumors were true, he is actually a very good teacher.

Soon, the day was finished, Clarke said goodbye to everyone and returned home. She had a quite huge homework to prepare, to hand back in history for Thursday, like a 20 pages text to make. It could take her some time to do, and she wanted to have a free Wednesday. She literally spent a good part of the evening and the night writing it. The blonde made some pastas and text her mom to tell her that she have her boyfriend in class. "Hi mum, guess who is my teacher ?", and even if it was late in the night, she got a direct answer, "Marcus yes I know he told me, btw he is with me now, and we spoke about it, there will be no pb because of it, just live your life sweetie"

"Okay thx a lot :)" and Abby texted back once again, ":) and also, he is very happy to have a passionate student about his subject in class, you win some points" Clarke laughted alone in front of her phone's screen and thought about a good punch to send. She went for a simple "hey you're the one who have to impress him not me ;)", from what Griffin Mom responded "ouch true, have good night with Lexa honey ;)". And Clarke laughter laughted a second time before answering "What no she doesn't sleep with me calm down". But this time Abby didn't answer, maybe she was being busy at her house with Kane (that is a little weird for Clarke to imagine that but life is life...)

She wrote seven more pages of her essay before fallind dead asleep on her bed. Thankfully Lexa wasn't here to distract her this time, so she could finally have a true sleep. Tomorrow was a very light day for her and her class, because they only had classes on the morning and their afternoon was free. On the other hand, the few hours of classes they had was English with the well-known ass teacher, Mrs.Green, Monty's mom, for 3 hours straight, and a little hour of Spanish, it will be quickly done.
