Drunk Dates: Bottom Edition

Cody's POV

I pack an overnight bag, making sure to include all the things in the invite, even if they do make my cheeks stain red in the process. I'm in James and I room, double checking the texted invitation on my phone as I throw in the remains items. Once everything is inside, I zip up the bag and carry it quickly out our room and down the hall to set it by the front door, almost dropping it a few times.

James watches me sullenly from his position in the kitchen, our entire entertainment area open so you can see from the kitchen into the den and the front door. As I set the bag down and straighten up, stretching my strained back, he pouts.

"Why do you have to go? They're all terrible influences." He tells me and I giggle, coming over to give my soft big baby a kiss.

"I need to get out the house and see my friends. Plus you're just as bad as an influence, Mr. Let's Fuck At The Pool." I tease and he grunts and turns away from my lips but I pay him no mind as my hands flutter up to hit him on the chest and I walk back to our room to find some shoes.

And just like I expected, James is right behind me. "Just stay home with me. We can cuddle and watch your favorite movie and even play with Jonah!" He says trying to convince me. I sigh and make my way to Jonah's room instead of ours and knock on the door softly.

     "Come in." Calls his sweet voice and I open the door to lean against the frame as James hovers behind me. "Hey, guys." He says, pausing his game as he turns towards us.

    "Hey, Munch." I say smiling at him, the nickname being coined after James and I saw how much the kid could eat our first week home together. He's been with us a month now and even though things are still hard, he's been perfect. "Would you like it if  I stayed home with you guys tonight, instead of going to Uncle Chloe's?" I ask and he thinks about it before shaking his head.

    "No. You stay home with us every night. And you said that friends and family are important so you should go see yours." He says and I grin before turning around to peer at James with my arms coming up to cross my chest.

     "Next time you try to use our kid against me, make sure he's on your side." I say, standing on my tip toes to give him a peck on the lips before moving around him to head to our room to grab my shoes. I open the door to our room and bend down to grab my sneakers form my side of the closet.

    I sit on the bed and quickly tie them on before I stand up and make my way back out of the room. I meet my sullen Mate in the living room and give him a sweet smile. "You ready to go?" I ask him and he grumbles before getting up to grab my bags and take them to the car. I grab my keys and my personal bag before I call back to my son. "Bye, Jonah!" I yell.

"Bye!" Comes his adorable reply and I smile softly as I follow James out the door, locking the house carefully behind me as I make my way towards the car and slide into the passengers seat. I'm going to spend the night as Chloe's house along with Cora, Thomas unable to stay due to tomorrow being 'date night', though he's still coming to hang for a few hours.

James slides into the drivers side and sighs as he starts the car and pulls out of the driveway to make our way to my best friends house. The ride is short and peaceful, the windows rolled down as the nice evening breeze flows with the music. It only takes us about five minutes to reach the house, our car pulling up the same time as Ares and Thomas who come from the other direction.

I step out the car with a grin waving to Thomas as we walk towards each other, allowing James and Ares to get our stuff for us. "Hey!" I say wrapping my small arms around his waist and he smiles down at me, his arm coming to hug my shoulders as we makes our way to the stairs and towards the front door.
