Sassy Night Out

Sloan's POV

"Bye, Jonah. Be good for you Uncles!" I tell him with a wink and me and Cody leave the house. Since they have kids of their own, Alex and Chloe have offered to babysit Jonah for us as we go out with Cora and Chan. It's been a while since the two of us were able to have a night out and I'm excited.

"Bye." He calls waving his small hand at us as we get into the car before Chloe ushers him in with a wave of his own.

As we begin to drive off I see Cody's hands begin to flutter in his lap and I let my right hand fall from the wheel and drop to his. "He'll be okay, love. He's with family." I tell him. This is the first time that both of us have been away from Jonah at once at night and I can tell it's freaking him out.

But as always, my bean gives me a brave wobbly smile and a nod of his head, making my lips raise into a proud smile.

"You ready to get fucked up tonight?" I ask him with a smirk as I drive us to the bar where we'll meet two more of our friends that were able to come out today. Thomas and Ares are back at the beach, so it'll just be the four of us tonight.

"I'm not too sure I'll drink." Cody says nervously and while I wish my shy baby would loosen up a little and get drunk while we dance the night away, I won't push him to do so.

We talk about other things to sooth him and by the time we pull into the parking lot, he's no longer stressing about Jonah or how to have fun, only giggling up a storm as I get out the car with him following. As I lock it, I hear my name get called and I see Chan and Cora coming towards us, apparently carpooling which was more than likely Graves idea.

Ares and Graves are the most protective people I've ever known, but it makes for hilarious stories from both Thomas and Cora.

"Good evening, bitches. It's big Cora's night and I'm going to make it count." The bad mouth Vampire comes up to us with a wide grin and a badass outfit that makes me give her my best wolf whistle.

"Damn girl, you look hot. Graves let you walk out like that?" I ask her, knowing she would find herself beneath her daddy if he saw her in this outfit.

"Only because I tired him out before hand. Playing chess baby playing chess." She says and our group laughs as we make our way to the entrance of the bar. I hold the door open for the group and Chan and I lag behind the two smaller ones of the group as they lead the way to the stools on front of the bartender ok the other side of the long table.

"Let me know of you need to go." I tell him, seriously. We all know that his pain has been getting worse and when he blacked out form the pain last month he had no choice but to let us in on the secret he's been keeping from up.

"Give me thirty minutes and six shots. I won't feel a thing." He tells me with a smirk and I laugh, shaking my head at him as we climb up on to the seat, Cody to my left as he and Cora giggle over one thing or other. We all get out our IDs as I call the bartender over and order all of us two shots of vodka.

Once I place some month on the counter we raise one shot to our lips and hold the other in hand. "To being weird and queer." I salute to my friends and they all laugh as we down the drinks back to back. Cody coughs and gags at the taste while the rest of us just shudder.

I smile as the warmth spills into my chest, ready to spend a nice relaxing night with my babes.

Cora's POV

"Look over there. To the left. You see that group of Chad's and Brice's? They've been checking us out for the past fifteen minutes." I tell my friends, looking straight forward. I know with their enhanced hearing they can hear me form where I'm seated.
