[Allyson's POV]

"The Clott Family..." Past mentioned and small creepy smile formed in its mouth. It twirled to the faint memory - assessing the scenario as if its merely goal is to entertain itself.

I tried placing a hand at the young version of Leah; expectedly it only phased through like a hologram.

"How about I enlighten you about vampires, milady?" Past asked.

"Amongst the dwindling population of vampires, the noble families in particular are seen with high class and superiority. Those who come from a lower superiority can side with a higher family, making them vassals."

"The Clott Family is one of the independent families and since they have few members - becoming a remnant of the past persists."

Its smoke-like tentacle brushed through the memories, forwarding the scene to a specific location and time. When Past felt the branches of experience, he then stopped and presented me with a setting.

That place wasn't the usual crimson plants of Elilune. Instead, it was the human world.

"19 years ago, the last thing the Clott Family visited was a relative of theirs. Mixed with a human's blood, Leah's grandparents have been living in the Human world."

- Trees faded away and gave a spotlight to a large house next to a forest. There I saw Leah and her family joining in a small reunion.

I had to ask a question.

"Hold on. Did they enter the Overworld illegally?"

Past looked back and blew purple mists that formed another scene behind me. This time it has shown me the Walker Mansion. A refined old man appeared and had a talk with Leah's father.

"This man. He looks like the old man in the red room," I mention.

"That man is Graham Walker, the former head of the Walker Family," Past replied.

"The Walker Family was a line with close relations to the vampiric royalty. Both noble and other independent families would dare to get a good relationship with this family. And this is where the cause started."

Past spun around the area, creating a faint vortex that sped up time - scenes shifting, moments appearing, smiles repeating and then... stopped.

Leah and her parents at this point had arrived to the Human World to meet her grandparents.

Despite the seemingly translucent world, I can make out the warm, fleeting feeling of her life. A garden sprawled in a backyard and familiarity of a tight bond through their fingertips. It's like I experience them.

As the memory flash continued on, I met nothing but sadness seeing Leah's childhood. But Past had to stop at the pinnacle...
