Everyone was anxious and terrified of what was going to happen next.

So far nothing had happened, it's been silent since they were held captive and Gerard killed Matt. Carter knew that silence would be broken with something absolutely terrible. Scott wasn't doing well with his mom finding out and now Allison won't even talk to him.

Carter needed to tell them about her vision of what she believed is their final battle against Gerard and the kanima. She was afraid of losing her friends, no her family and was terrified of the vivid image of Isaac crumbling to the ground.

Speaking of Isaac, Carter hadn't even heard anything from Isaac which in all honesty, she was disappointed. The game was tonight, Carter worried that tonight is when it was all going to go down.
...............

Carter had gone to the clinic with Scott to meet with Deaton. She was currently explaining what she had seen in the dream when they heard the bell chime to the front door.

Carter walk towards the door to see who it was, "Isaac" She breath out.

He's looking down, hands in his pocket until he meets her eyes.

They had now gathered around the table where a dog was laying down, clearly in pain.

"Why does he smell like that?" Isaac said looking at the dog on the table.
Deaton explained how Scott could smell it too before. The poor dog was dying.

Deaton brought Isaacs hand down towards the dog, black veins appeared in his hand.

"What'd I do?" He asked sniffling.

"You took away his pain, sometimes just a little can make a big difference." Deaton said smiling.

Carter walked over to Isaac putting her hand on his as tears brimmed his eyes in happiness.

"It's okay, the first time he showed me I cried too." Scott smiled at the other beta.
Isaac look from him and then down to Carter smiling like crazy. He squeezed her hand.

"They're leaving tonight during the game" Isaac said to Scott and Carter.

"Why are you telling us?" Scott looked confused.

"I'm not telling you I'm asking you." Isaac confessed to Scott.

"Why?"

"Because I trust you guys." Isaac looked between the two of us.

"I'm not going anywhere I have too many people here who need me." Scott replied. Carter agreeing with him.

Isaac looked down, "I guess that makes me lucky because I don't have anyone."

Hearing that statement hurt Carter. She pulled Isaac aside. Hopefully out of earshot from Scott.

She grabbed his hand. Pulling him closer to her small frame.

"Are- are you serious?" She said to him. "Isaac, you have Scott, Stiles and me... you have me."

He looks at her, guilt starting to arise in his eyes. God, he wished he could just hold her and take all of her sadness away.

"Carter, I- I have to go." He stammered.

"No you don't Isaac, you can't-"

"You would be safer if I left."

"You're just scared Isaac, I'm scared too but we can all get through this... together."

"Goodbye Carter." He choked back tears that were threatening to fall, walking out of the clinic and away from the girl that stole his heart.
