Scott was taken to Deaton's clinic, he inhaled a lot of wolfsbane thanks to Allison's mother. Carter needed to head home to think and maybe do a locator spell on Matt, who ended up being the Kanima's master. Creepy.
Isaac and Carter were walking towards the Stilinski house as he insisted on walking the girl home. Not that she minded anyways.
"Thanks for walking me home. You didn't have to." She said to him softly.
"Don't worry about it, I wanted to." He smiled, "Plus after how tonight went down, we really needed something normal."
Carter laughed, "Yeah just a normal walk with a witch and a werewolf."
He chuckled at her remark. They were quite the interesting pair.
"How are you doing?" Carter asked him, keeping her gaze on the side walk, "I mean with your dad and everything."
Isaac seemed to stiffen at the mention of his father. He hadn't had a lot of time to really process what happened. But he was grateful for Carter's concern.
"I-I guess I'm alright. He was a manipulative and abusive father but I don't know." He said. Isaac surprised himself. That was the first time he admitted out loud that his father terrorized him. With Carter it felt comfortable, like he could talk to her because he knew she would listen.
Carter only smiled a sad smile, "I'm sorry Isaac. I can't even begin to imagine what you've gone through but know that I'm here for you if you need me."
Isaac smiled down towards the girl, "Thank you Carter"
"And I know it's not my place but you're still allowed to be upset that he died, he was your father once." She said hoping she wasn't making him feel worse.
Isaac stared at her, god he could stare at her forever. But right now, this moment, was something he greatly needed. Someone to tell him his feelings are valid and someone to let them know they're there.
They continued walking with a comfortable silence, the two just enjoying each others company.
"You know, I think I had a vision or maybe it was just a dream, about the kanima." He turned towards Carter now. "Or more like us trying to capture it."
"What did you see?" He asked.
Carter definitely couldn't tell him that she dreamed about him but, "I saw all of us in some abandoned building fighting Jackson but there were more people, and-and Allison was against us."
Carter shook her head knowing she was not making any sense.
"Sorry I'm sure it's nothing I'm just freaking myself out." She smiled up at him with sad eyes.
"Don't be sorry Carter. I'll listen anytime." He said with rose tints to his cheek rising. And he meant it just as Carter had meant it earlier in the conversation.
As they approach Carter's house, she noticed that her dad was home.
"Thanks again Lahey." She said.
He turned towards Carter, lifting her head up to face his. Their bodies brushing up against each other.
"Goodnight Carter." He smiled turning to walk away.
Dear God Carter thought to herself.
