Unsteady [Isaac Lahey x OC]

Chapter 25

Isaac and Carter were sitting in her room after they had settled from the events at the party the night before. 

"At least we sort of had a normal night together." Carter said leaning into Isaac's chest.

He wrapped his arm around her, smiling, "Normal night for normal teenagers?" He laughed, "I was just happy to dance with my girl for a while."

"One day, we'll actually get through a date without some supernatural crisis." She said looking into his bright blue eyes.

He smiled, reaching his lips down to her own.

Soon Carter's dad and brother walked into her room.

"Uh hey, why don't we have dinner together, I'll order us some pizza!" Their dad said with a smile.

"Yeah, yeah that sounds great dad." Carter replied before Isaac and her got up.

Isaac smiled down at her, "I'll head out, I'll see you later Carter."

Carter nodded with a small smile, ready to lead him out.

"Actually Isaac would you like to stay for dinner?" Her dad asked with a smile on his face.

"Wait woah, woah hold on-" Stiles butted in.

Their dad rolled his eyes, facing her brother, "Stiles clearly your sister has taken a liking to this guy, I'd like to get to know him."

Stiles sighed in annoyance but Carter couldn't help but smile ear to ear. Her cheeks flushed.

Isaac was taken back but soon smiled, "Yeah, yeah I would love that."

Stiles was currently shoving a piece of pizza into his mouth.

"So I'm pretty sure my job is to tell embarrassing stories about you Carter." Their dad said chuckling, trying to lighten the air.

Carter's eyes widen, "Yeah you really don't have to do that Dad..."

Isaac smiled, "I wouldn't mind!"

Carter flicked Isaac's arm, "I would mind!"

"How about the time Carter tried to play soccer?" Stiles said mischievously.

Carter threw her slice of pizza down, "Hell no, Stiles you wouldn't!"

Isaac laughed and she couldn't help but smile at him.

"Oh but I would" Stiles smirked. Carter held her hand up at him.

"I will hurt you" She squinted her eyes at him.

Isaac's hand rested on her shoulder, "Carter I kinda wanna hear the story, plus, uh- it can't be that bad!"

Carter rolled her eyes as her brother states, "Finally something we can agree on Isaac, anyways so as we all know Carter is extremely lactose intolerant."

Isaac looked down at Carter with her pizza, "Uh isn't cheese-"

"I'm willing to pay the price of pizza." She said waving her hand in the air to brush it off. He chuckled.

"As I was saying, our mother gave us grilled cheese for dinner before our practices, I was going to lacrosse and Carter was going to her first ever soccer practice."

Carter interrupted her brother, "Okay keep in mind we were 8! And my stomach was killing me after I ate that meal."

Sheriff Stilinski was smiling and chuckling at his two kids bickering. He always enjoyed watching them fight and then an hour later they would be cracking up together, watching some movie.
