Chameerian Line

Now for our little lizard starter......

Note: I had come up with this guy long before SwSh was announced (back in 2015-2016) along with the other two starters. Also Chameerian's evolution line along with Roothoot are the only ones of the starters to not have changed from my original idea (its evolutions were just renamed, Roothoot's hasn't been altered naming-wise or changed entirely like Terryer's has). 

Terryer was originally going to evolve into a raptor-archaeopteryx hybrid called Raptilery and then into a dragon called Pyrogon. These were scrapped as they didn't fit the first stage and conflicted with an idea of doing legendary dragons that had a similar naming style (these guys have also been scrapped as of recently.)

Chameerian:

Chameerian, The Water Chameleon Pokemon

Type: Water

Ability: Torrent          Hidden Ability: Rough Skin

Starting moves: Pound, Tail Whip, Water Gun

Dex Entry 1: Chameerian are known to be very lazy and sleepy. Despite this, this pokemon is very swift and can strike a target within mere seconds using its powerful tail and tongue.

Dex entry 2:  Its spit is sterile and has healing properties. People use it to clean wounds when antibiotics are unavailable.

Dex entry 3:  Preferring to live in the high canopies of trees. Chameerian will climb to the tops of trees to let rain pour onto them.

Dex Entry 4: A very easygoing and easy to train pokemon. It is known to enjoy riding on its trainer's shoulders and sleeping while they travel.

Marguana:

Marguana, The Water Lizard Pokemon

Type: Water

Ability: Torrent ( Hidden: Rough Skin)

Dex entry 1: Marguana spend their time basking in the sun near lakes and rivers. these water sources make it easy for a quick escape from predators.

Dex entry 2: Being adept swimmers. Marguana will jump into the water to get away from danger.

Dex entry 3: Mostly found in the mornings. These pokemon lay on rocks to let dewdrops form on their body to keep their scales from drying up.

Dex entry 4: Berries are one of their favorite things to eat. Be careful or one may snag your lunch.

Hydrolisk:

Hydrolisk has a special held item that will change its appearance when held called the Conail Shell that ups Hydrolisk's Def and Sp. Def. This item is obtainable off of wild Conail,has a chance to be found on a certain beach every day, buyable at certain shops, or if you show a certain NPC a Hydrolisk.

This also applies if it is holding a mega stone as the shell plays a role in its mega evolution.

Hydrolisk, The Water Runner Pokemon

Type: Water Steel

Signature Move: Shell Shock, Dual Water/Steel move that changes into a special when used in Zero-G.

Ability:  Aqua Force. Boosts the power of Steel and Water moves

Hidden Ability: Rough Skin

Dex Entry 1: This pokemon is capable of running across water. They race along the water as if on jetskis.

Dex Entry 2: Their tears can heal any wound they touch. There is a tale of a Hydrolisk who brought back a person who was on the brink of death by crying on their wounds.

Dex Entry 3: Calling swamps their home. They live in groups or on their own. The alpha and omega tend to wear the shells of Conail on their tails.

Dex Entry 4: Hydrolisk use their tails like whips. The impact from their tail is enough to snap even steel clean in half.

Just a little extra info: When Conail die, their shells are left behind. These shells will dry up and turn a tan color. Hydrolisk are known to take these shells and place them onto their tails.

These shells boost the pokemon's defensive capabilities and make its tail smacks even stronger. Though Hyrolisk already have very durable skin (it feels smooth and slick but its as tough as nails, that's why its part steel type) but the shell adds on.

They like to stand on their tippy-toes as it is much easier for them to walk on, even when the walk on all fours.

Mega Hydrolisk:

Ability: Shell Armor

Dex Entry: It has developed tough shell armor all over its body that reduces damage from attacks. However, venom from the Conail gives it headaches when it returns to normal.

Inspirations:

Chameerian was inspired by the chameleon

its name comes from the words "Meer" which means "sea" in German and "Chameleon".

Marguana is a mix between an Iguana and a Chameleon

Its name is a mix between "Marsh" and "Iguana"

Hydrolisk is based on the Basilisk Lizard. A lizard know to be able to run on water. This pokemon also takes its gender difference inspiration from the same thing.

Its name is a mix of "Hydro" and "Basilisk'
