~Chapter 5~

I woke up with a start. "Elijah!" I felt strong arms around me.

"Shhhh it's okay. I'm here." He whispered in my ear. I yellped and jumped alittle. I looked at him and lunged for his neck. I wrapped my arms around him and let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank God. It was just a dream."

"What was your dream about?" I pulled away and looked him in the eyes.

"Hehe. It's weird but I dream't you were a vampire and you had these dark dilated eyes and veins all over you face. Oh, and get this, you had fangs! Can you believe that?" I laughed but when I turned to face him again he was rubbing the back of his neck with hand. You know, the thing people to when they're guilty for something. He looked up at me and smiled apoligetically. "Oh God. It wasn't a dream was it?"

He chuckled and said, "I'm afraid not." I groaned and fell back on the bed.

"So you telling me that you actually are a...a... vampire." He nodded "I swear Elijah, if this is a joke. I am no longer your best friend." He shook his head and smirked.

"Hey I know some of my jokes are over the top, but I wouldn't go that far." I glared at him. "So hungry?" He asked. I opened my mouth to snap back at him but my stomach growled. "I'll take that as a yes." I rolled my eyes and he stood up. When he turned around I made a circle with my hands and moved them back and fourth, making it look like I was choking him. "Saw that!" He yelled. I abruptly stopped. He chuckled. I started walking behind him down the stairs. I helped my self to the cabnet to get cereal and trudged over to the fridge and grabbed the milk. I sat at the table and made my self a bowl of cereal. "You know, I could've made you something to eat." I shook my head and shovled a spoon full of cereal into my mouth.I snuck a peek out of the corner of my eye at Elijah and he was just staring at me.

"What?" I asked

"I don't know how you eat that it's disgusting."

I looked at him like he had the word 'moron' tattooed on his forehead. "I've seen you eat cereal before."

"Yeah, but it's not as good as..." He hesitated and cleared his throat.

"It's okay you can tell me. I'm not one of those girls thats squeemish. You know that." I said furrowing my brow. I looked out the back door, and what happened yesterday hit me like a tsunami. I blushed and looked down at my cereal.

"What are you looking at?" I shook my head with my gaze still on my cereal bowl. He looked behind him, then looked back at me. "Do you want ot talk about it?"

"No."

A couple of minutes passed unti he said, " You know we have to talk about it sooner or later." I stood up fast. Maybe alittle to fast, and stumbled. He stood up to catch me, but I put my hand up to stop him.

"Maybe I don't want to talk about it Elijah." I said. He sighed and rubbed his face with his hand.

"You can be so stubborn at times Lainy. I just... just..."

"Just what Elijah? Eat me? Strangle me?"

He looked at me in confusion. " No Lainy I would never hurt you."

I snorted then bit my lip. "Well it's too late for that. What happened to not keeping secrets from each other? Huh? Did you not trust me?" I yelled.

"I couldn't Lainy. Any ways, what happened to you? I know you secret too. I don't even want to hear it!" He yelled back.

I just wanted to choke him. " What secret?" I was still yelling.

"Oh, don't play dumb!"

"I'm not playing dumb Elijah!" I was beyond confused.

"Oh don't act like you don't know you a witch!" I froze eyes wide.

"What are you talking about?"

He looked at me like he did something wrong "Well, shit."
