Chapter 4

I kept feeling like someone or something was following me. I started to turn around to walk back home, but I didn't want to hurt Elijah's feelings. I walked to his house and walked in without knocking. I walked into the living room expecting him to be there, but he wasn't. My back pack was on the couch. I decided to just take my back pack and not even talk to him. I turned around and tryed to open the door but it was locked. I tried unlocking it, but the lock was jammed. I went to the kitchen to go through the back door but it was the same way as the other door.

"Elijah I don't want to talk. Let me out!" When he didn't answer my heart sped up with anger and adreniline. I stomped up to his room to confront him, but he wasn't there either. "Elijah come on. I'm not in the mood." I yelled.

"Why not?" Said a hoarse voice. I spun around and there he was. His pupils were so dialated that his deep green eyes had almost disappeared. He had dark puple, almost looking black, veins coming out of his eyes makeing swirls on his cheeks.

"Elijah, you okay?" He took a step forward, but I took a step back. We did this until I was pinnned against the wall with both of his hands on either side of my head.

"You smell delicious." He said seductavely.

"Well I haven't showered yet, so, I don't know what your smelling." I said in a 'matter of fact' tone. He rolled his eyes and burried his head in my neck. I thought he was going to give me a hug so I wrapped my arms around his neck.

I was fine until I felt something prick my neck. I jerked back from him in time to see two sharp fangs poking out from under his lip. "Haha Elijah very funny." I said, relaxing, knowing he was trying to pull a prank on me.

"Oh, this isn't a joke Lainy." He said smirking. I rolled my eyes and tried to push past him, but he wouldn't budge.

"Move Elijah. I'm not in the mood for games." I said annoyed. He already knew I had a jacked up morning. I mean hell! He was part of the reason it was jacked up! I decided to inch the window up behind my back so I could jump out of it. Thankfully we were on the second story. "Well, Elijah it was nice seeing to again, but I gotta go." A look of confusion swept acrossed his face. Followed after regret, but before he could say anything I jumped.

I waited for the jolt to shoot up my legs from the landing but I never felt it. I opened my eyes and found that I was in his arms. "You really have a death wish don't you?" He said smirking. The veins were gone and his eyes were still dialated but not as much as before. "Lainy? You okay?" I was matter of fact not okay.

'How did he get here so fast? And what happened to the veins on his face? Also what the heck is up with his eyes?' My mouth was wide open.

"Close you mouth. Your gonna catch flies." He said. I closed my mouth making my teeth click.

"H...how did you get down here so fast and why face all covered in veins and your eyes were so dilated. You also had sharp teeth!" He looked like he regretted doing something.

"I...I can't tell you" I grunted and turned around.

"Fine if you won't tell me then I have no reason to be here."

"Wait. I'm sorry. But I really can't tell you."

I shrugged and started walking. "That's okay because I didn't want to be here talking to you in the first place." I took a few steps and kept my eyes on the ground.

"I'm... I'm..." I looked behind me and said.

"You what?" he closed his eyes and then opened them but kept his gaze on the ground.

"I...I'm...a...vampire."

I looked at him inrediculously and then fell backwards into strong arms. Then my vision went black until I couldn't see anything at all.
