3rd Person POV
"Mommy I'm scared." Y/n said in tears standing outside of kings elementary school her supplies and her pink bear bear-bear with her
"I know sweetheart but you have bear-bear and bear-bear'll keep you safe." Her mom replied
"But I want you!" Y/n whined as the school bell rang
"I'm sorry monkey, I need to go." (My mom calls me monkey) m/n answered and with that m/n starts leaving to go to the car.
Meanwhile John Laurens is saying goodbye enthusiastically to his mommy and daddy and holding on tight to Shelly his stuffed turtle.
Le time skip
"Hi guys I'm Mr.Washington and I'll be your teacher this year." Said mr.washington clearly not overexcited but happy nonetheless "Since today is the only day of school before Memorial Day we are going to get to know each other. I'm going to pair you up with someone and you are going to talk." Mr.washington paired them up and let them begin talking.
Y/n had been paired up with Lafayette
"Bonjour!" Lafayette exclaimed
"What's a bon-jor?"y/n asked clearly puzzled at the French five year old
"Oh. You don't speak French?" Asked Lafayette disappointed
"No. But mommy said I'm bi-language." Y/n explained
"What language?" Asked Lafayette hopeful still
"Germany" y/n said proudly
