Chapter 3: I died...literally.

Percy's POV

  I laughed. Oh, just how much I will give to see their expressions again! I noticed Artemis looking at my bow with interest. Maybe I should explain a bit about my bow.

Past

  I was walking through a forest, hunting down all the monsters. They seems to be scared of me, and they call me the "Abbadon", meaning the destroyer, in Greek. Huh. Why do they call me that? I'm just a mere demigod, killing monsters with ease. It's no big deal.

I was deep in thought, when suddenly I felt a tug in my guts. I looked up, and dived out of the way just in time for the big meteor to hit earth, narrowly missing me. Coughing out grass, I stood up and came to see what was that. When I neared the crater that the meteor had made, I saw that it was a tiny capsule. I reached out my hands to touch the capsule, when it opened, responding to my touch. It hissed opened, revealing the most beautiful bow that I ever saw. I grabbed it in my hands to try its weight. Surprisingly, it is like it was custom-made for me. I pulled the ever color-shifting string, and to my surprise, I found an arrow ready to be shot. i pulled the arrow out and inspected it. It seems to be silver, but if you look closely, it will shift from silver to gold, to celestial bronze, to imperial gold, Stygian iron, and one more metal i couldn't identify. I carefully placed that arrow back to shooting position, and decided to test out my growing skills in archery. I shot the arrow, and watched as the arrow seems to burst out in flames once it left my bow, and left a nice streak of fire behind.

I notched a second arrow, and fired it again. This time, I tested a theory of mine and inagined the arrow to burst into water. Of course the arrow didn't, but instead of it, the arrow glowed a blue color, and simply sliced through the tree i was aiming for, and just continued onwards. I gaped at that destruction left behind.

This time, I tried something new. I imagined everything that is destructive, fire, water, earth, air,explosives, shadows, light, and even thought of a speed boost. Nothing had prepared me for the explosion that followed.

With a loud sonic boom, the arrow broke the sound barrier, and proceeded to rip through the forest, and when it touch something, it set something exploding. The arrow finally slowed, and then exploded. The force of the explosion, even though it was so far away, blew me a few feets away.

When I decided I had enough of dirt, I stood up, and looked. I nearly fell back in shock at the destruction I caused. In place of the forest, was several small craters and a huge pit. The trees were totally destroyed. I winced at the damage. Suddenly, I had an idea. I ran back to the crater which I found my bow, and retrieved it. I looked into the capsule and found a tiny letter inside it. The letter basically told me about the powers my bow has, and told me that it was a gift from Chaos. Wait, what? Chaos? Forget it, I ask him if I meet him.

The letter explained that what I want my arrow to be, and to kill who or to injure who, it will do what I want, and there is two additional things about the bow that I didn't know. If I press the symbol "Ω", it will unlock features, so dangerous, that it could destroy a whole army of monsters with one arrow. Secondly, If I press the symbol "ß", the bow will turn into the sword that fits me, and balance me out with two swords. The letter explained to me that I can change the bow to anything that can make it more portable.

I found out that the bow has the power over time. Hmm, I wonder... I notched another arrow, and imagined it reversing the damage to the forest, and let it go, hoping that it will work. The arrow flew, and where it passes, the damage was reversed. Looking on in delight, I called on the power that destructed the forest, and added the power of time and healing to it. What I experienced was hard to describe, but the arrow explodes, but where it explodes, it heals the trees, and reverse it. Within thirty seconds, the forest was reverted back to its original state.

Present

I said goodbye to Artemis, and vanished, laughing silently. By now, I know that the gods sent almost everyone to look for me. I just have to avoid capture and rescue people. Great.

I reappeared twenty yards away from the hunters, and settled down to watch out for monsters. A low growl caught my attention. I grabbed my bow, and pointed towards the general direction of the growl. A few seconds later, the ground started shaking. What? Gaia again? Please spare me this! Before I could hit the primordial goddess, I was knocked down to the ground, the Manticore looking down hungrily at me." Wow, look what we caught. We finally captured the mortal who has been terrorizing the monsters. You know, they call you the destroyer, Ecryp? Well, let's see how hard you are to destroy!" Gaia held me down, but I slammed my head down, releasing a shock-wave, and pushed the Manticore away. I got ready to fight, but the ground shook again, and the Giant King himself came out. What. The. Hell? How did... well, I'm screwed. The Giant King grinned at me, "Hey, I heard about you, Ercyp. I hope you are not affected by lightning! This is gonna hurt a little!" I winced. When people say a little, it means a lot, and that sucks.

With no where to run, I sent a final message to every one within two hundred miles from me. "To all those who know me. I am Percy Jackson, and I just want to say that I tried... Goodbye..." After that, I changed my bow to a sword, imperial gold, and deflected the lightning bolt. Instead of going to Porphyrion, it absorb it, making it crackle with lightning. I used this to my advantage, and stabbed Porphyrion, discharging so much lightning that he fell unconscious. Before I could get away, Gaia spoke in my mind,"Demigod, you may have defeated my child, but you will never kill me! I swear on the river Styx, that today I will claim your life!" knowing that I have no more tricks. She was so, wrong. When the ground reached out to swallow me, I yelled in defiance and shot my multicoloured metal arrow, charging it with all the energy, turned the still drawn bow to a sword, and finally driving it down with me.

The last thing I saw before I lost conscious was Gaia first crying out in triumph, then screaming out in pain, and the explosions filling the air. Finally, I let myself go, satisfied that I took down Gaia with me. Resting assured that Gaia is dead, I relaxed, inviting the darkness in.

A/N: OMG! Another chapter! Thank you to all the readers! I found out the hard way that I can't update everyday! It is almost impossible... still, I try to update as much as I could, since school starts tomorrow :( I will be busy, but I try! What will happen to Percy! I can't wait! XD! TIll next time guys. Bye!
