Percy's POV

I shuffled my feet back to my cabin. I don't get it. After the Giant War, it seems that Annabeth is getting distant, and my friends were either avoiding me, or going out on a side quest. If i did not know better, I would say that they are hiding something from me.

As I walked nearer to the Poseidon cabin, i found Nico lurking around my cabin. "Nico!" I called out. Nico jumped, as if he was scared. Nico turned around and saw me. He laughed nervously,"Percy! Um, I... I was just um.... wandering here.... um... bye!" saying that, he ran into a shadow and shadow-travelled away. I frowned. Since when was Nico nervous? He rarely show any emotions.

"Percy!" A familiar voice, one that I loved, called out. Annabeth, my wise girl."Hey," I said casually."what's up?" Annabeth laughed, "The Gods." She replied."Anyway, could you come down to the beach later?" she asked me. Nodding my head, I quickly agreed, hoping that our relationship is not over that soon. I went inside my cabin, and looked at the picture of me and the seven of the prophecy. That was then. Now? I don't even know whether I am in best of terms with them.

I ran toward the beach after that, and found Annabeth sitting near the sea, watching the waves. I went toward her, and sat next to her. Before I could speak, she spoke, in almost a monotonous voice," Percy, I'm breaking up with you." wait, what?

"Annabeth? Why? What went wrong in our relationship? We can make this out!" I cried out desperately. She just smirked and replied."Seaweed brain, don't you realize? You are that problem! You, are that problem in our relationship! I can't believe why I even date you! I don't get what in you caught my eye. Plus, I decided I will be better off at the other side." She laughed evilly and whispered one word harshly, "Go!"

And so I did, I ran away, away from the one I thought loved me as much as I had loved her. Away from Annabeth, away from the one I thought will never betray me.

When I was at the rock wall of CHB I was suddenly flashed away. You know the feeling of being cramped in a very tight space and dissolving, seconds later only for the atoms to rearrange themselves? That is the feeling. Not pleasant. Anyway, I was flashed to Olympus's throne room. The gods and goddesses were all seated, some look guilty, like Hephaestus and Hermes. Some looked like they gotton rid of something (*cough*Zeus and Athena*cough*) The others were sad and dejected. What happened?

"PERSEUS JACKSON!" Zeus boomed. I stepped forward after recovering. "Yes, my lord? What happened?" I sarcastically asked. "You have been accused of siding with the enemy! This was at your cabin, found by Annabeth, which proves your treachery against the gods!" Guess who said it? That's right, Athena.

"Athena, that pendant was placed there by Annabeth! She betrayed us! And how could I go against you? My fatal flaw is loyalty, and I'm loyal to my friends, which makes me loyal to the gods? With all due respect, I swear on the River Styx that what I said is true!" I tried to remain calm, and told the gods this. Athena shot out of her throne, her spear thrusted out at me, the tip just touching my neck. "You lie, demigod. Annabeth will not do such things! And I thought you were in a relationship with her? Why are you fighting each other?" I bowed stiffly, since the spear was there."My lady, I swear on the River Styx that what I said or is going to say now is true. Annabeth today told me that she broke up with me, and that she joined the other side."

Athena stood shaking with anger, grief and disbelief, "I don't...I don't believe you. She won't betray us. She WON'T!" saying that, she summoned Zeus's Master Bolt. My eyes widened. "She can do that? I didn't know that! I mean, she rarely does that... I did not even know that she can do that till today!" I thought, and that is the last I saw before everything went black.

When I woke up, I was at camp, in the infirmary. Chiron trotted to me with a grim face as I sat up, groaning as I did so."Chiron? What ha-" Chiron interrupted me before I could go further. "No time to explain, you have to leave camp after 10 minutes! The gods are angry with you. It is best if you stay here; you can hide from them easier that way." He told me in a rushed tone and I nodded. I rushed to my cabin and looked at it longingly, before grabbing my jacket with my sword inside and rushed out.

Looking back at camp, I sighed and muttered,"Camp and my life will never be the same ever again." And I continued my way out, petting Peleus on the way, not looking back once.
