'Is there a possibility she could be immune?' Scott asks me as we walk across the field and I'm still trying to figure out why he's dragging me along, the two of us haven't been the closest of friends ever.
'Honestly....I don't know.' I say and Scott sighs as we approach Boyd who's trying to look intimidating.
'I wanna talk to Derek!' Scott says.
'Talk to me.' Boyd says and I roll my eyes.
'I didn't know you're name is Derek?' I say sarcastically and Boyd looks at me.
'We don't want to fight.' Scott says and I feel like that sentence is more pointed at me than Boyd.
'Good, cause I'm twice the seize of you.' Boyd says and in basic combat everyone knows speed beats strength, because if they can't catch you what good does strength do you anyway.
'True, very very true.' Scott says seeming to only now realise how big Boyd actually is.
'But you wanna know what I think? I'm twice as fast.'
With that Scott lunges at Boyd throwing him to the floor, I roll my eyes so much for not fighting Scott. Boyd manages to punch Scott and the two of the continue to wrestle on the lacrosse field whilst I just stand there bored out of my mind. After about a minute I walk over to them yanking Scott off of Boyd and pulling him aside.
'And you're both equally stupid.' I say and I offer a hand to Boyd helping him up.
'She failed the test.' Both Scott and I look over at Derek slightly startled since he appeared to have came out of nowhere, we briefly make eye contact but it doesn't last long.
Scott starts talking to Derek trying his best to convince Derek to leave Lydia alone, trying to reason with him. Though on bad days it'd be easier to reason with Coach than with Derek, I just stand there bored and tired. I still have a few files I need to read through to see if any of them have information concerning the Kanima, we should totally convert everything onto a computer or something because reading through all those files is tiring.
'Yeah which doesn't prove anything!' Scott argues.
'Lydia's different.'
'I know, at night she turns into a homicidal snake.' Derek says.
'I'm not gonna let you kill her.' Scott growls.
'Who said I was gonna do it?' Derek asks and I wanted to accuse him of turning teenagers into killers but considering I've been trained to kill since I could walk I don't feel like I have authority on this subject.
'Why are you with them? Isn't part of your job description to eliminate a threat like her?' Derek asks and all the eyes turn to me.
'I'm not protecting her, in fact I don't even know what I'm doing here. But I don't have enough proof of her being the Kanima to eliminate her yet.' I say and Derek clenches his jaw.
