Tell Scott to call me back.
Wow we've barely been broken up for a week and he's already replacing me with Scott.
Why?
Untrained Betas+ full moon= trouble.
I roll my eyes at the tex, honestly Derek should have thought of the consequences of making three betas. I look around and I see Scott and Stiles happily chatting away, I bite my lip cursing myself for the decision I'm about to make. I silently slip out of the party unnoticed and make my way to my car. I get inside and drive to the train wreck where Derek's little secret hide out is, I grab my bow and arrows just incase.
I remove all my arrows except the ones that'll paralyse you when it comes in contact with your skin, I remove my heals in hopes that they won't here me. I walk into the darkness trying to see but it's hard, so I rely on my hearing to warn me if a raging werewolf is close. I see the light up ahead from Derek's hideout and I walk a little faster hoping I'm not to late. I hear the sound of running feet, it sounds like it's coming directly towards me.
I hide around the corner readying myself, just as the person or should I say werewolf turns the corner I whack them through the face with my bow. The werewolf stumbles back startled and I realise it's Isaac. I quickly draw and arrow and shoot letting it sink into his shoulder, with in seconds Isaac's lying on the ground completely paralysed. I carefully and gently remove the arrow from Isaac's shoulder, I know the wound will heal but the paralytic poison will take some time to wear off.
I then grab Isaac by his shirt and I drag him back to the train, I arrive just as Derek burst from the train clearly on his way to chase after Isaac. I avoid contact as I dump his beta at his feet, I could feel his eyes on me and it takes everything in me not to look into those beautiful green eyes.
"Thanks." Derek finally mumbles and I shrug.
"Scott was a bit preoccupied." I lie, not wanting to tell him I didn't even tell Scott, we fall back into an awkward silence.
"I didn't-"
"I was-"
We both began speaking at the same time but our sentence's are cut off, fading away into the silence. There were times we could fight about anything, banter, insult but never before has it been awkward between us. I'm not gonna lie, I don't like this feeling one little bit.
"Elena..." Derek says and I finally look him in the eye and I can see pain in them, pain and regret swirling in those ocean wave eyes.
