Selena's POV

I didn't know how I let someone fuck me up after two months of knowing her. I didn't know why miss Lovato ignoring me, effected me in a different way than my other teachers ignoring me. I didn't know why I cared about how she thought about me. Some would say I liked her, but the only thing I did know was that I didn't like miss Lovato in that way. She's my teacher, that'd be weird.

Sitting under the blue sky, on the green grass, made me feel at some kind of peace. After two weeks, fourteen days, of skipping, I nearly forgot the color of my English book. I nearly forgot how miss Lovato said my name or how her laugh sounded when I made on of my jokes.

I was tracing the grass with my index finger before my phone beeped. I frowned when I saw who had disturbed the peace I was in. I had changed her name in my phone to Devonne when she asked me to. Slightly panicked, I opened the text.

Devonne: Stop skipping class.

Straight to the point, I thought. It took me a while before I rolled my eyes and replied to the text.

Selena: Only took you two weeks to notice, huh.

It definitely was weird, texting my teacher, but after kissing her I think I could take everything.

"You here?" Jason's voice startled me. "I thought you'd stop skipping classes." He slid down the wall next to me.

I shrugged. "Didn't see the point in going to English class, what's with you?" I asked.

"I have a free period and I wanted some fresh air. I'm still a top student, don't worry." He chuckled. "You know you'll get into trouble if they find you here, right?"

"I've been skipping English class since two weeks ago," I smiled. "I can handle it."

"Who's your teacher?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Lovato." I replied.

He laughed. "She probably doesn't know the 'tell-the-principal-when-someone-skips' rule yet."

I nodded. "How're things with Isidora going?"

A smile attacked his face. He slid down the wall a bit more, being on my height now. "Great, actually. She was scared you'd be mad or something," He chuckled. "but I told her what we had is way too deep down to bother you."

"You know me so well." I smiled.

"I know." He messed my hair up. "Now tell me, why are you skipping? Don't like the new teacher?"

I laughed and shook my head. "It's stupid. You don't even want to know."

"I wouldn't have asked you if I didn't." He noted.

I told him the story after debating in my head whether I should or not. I trusted Jason, he was one of my best friends and knew how to keep a secret.

"You're sick!" He said after quietly listening. "Only you'd kiss your teacher twice!" He laughed.

I playfully pushed him. "It's not funny."

"Okay, well in all seriousness," He looked at me. "I think you like her."

I chuckled. "No, I don't."

"You do like her but don't want to admit it to yourself because she's your teacher and you think that's weird. True or not?" He challenged.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm done with this conversation."

"Okay, tell me when you're open for it again." He patted my back.
