"I know we shouldn't be doing this," Devonne said in between breaths. "You're my student.." She let her hands wander under my shirt. "I'm your teacher."
"Devonne.." I breathed.
She shut me up by pressing her index finger against my lips. "But I'm hoping, Selena, that maybe.. somehow.. we can make this work.." She sighed.
The door opened forcefully, making Devonne, who was laying on top of me, stumble on the floor. We both watched in anticipation, wanting to know who disturbed our time alone.
Mr Roberts walked in. "Well well," He grinned. "Do I have to remind the two of you that you're risking Devonne's job?" His evil smile made me want to punch him in the face. Instead of doing that, I fixed my shirt, covering my exposed belly.
The door bell ringed and kept ringing. "Who is that?" I asked Devonne.
"Your alarm clock." She replied dryly.
Before I knew it, Monica was pushing me out of bed. "Yo, your alarm has been going off for fifteen minutes now." She said. "Wake up!"
I rubbed my eyes and realized it was almost time for school. I got ready lazily with Monica reminding me that Caroline could be here any minute. Surely, I was the one completely ready when my friends arrived, not my sister.
"I don't know how you do it." Monica said, out of breath.
"I do." Isidora laughed. "Look at her hair, it's not combed. She also doesn't have breakfast and looks like a guy."
"Thanks." I frowned and combed my hair with my fingertips.
"From what you've told us about your date with mrs Lovato, you must be pretty excited to see her now huh?" Caroline changed the topic quietly. Monica was sitting on the backseat with Isidora. Her earphones blasting loud music, even we could hear. Normally, we'd tell her to turn it down a bit but now it gave me comfort, knowing she isn't listening to our conversation.
I grinned, but then remembered my dream. I'm hoping that maybe, somehow, we can make this work. I sighed and simply shook my head when my friends asked me what's up.
Walking into school was a disaster. The first person I saw was mr Roberts and god, was I annoyed with him. He had ruined my dream and I couldn't stand to see him now. Mostly because I knew dream Roberts was right. Do I have to remind you that you're risking Devonne's job? I remembered the dream so vividly, it was scary.
Were we risking her job? Maybe we shouldn't have went on that date on Saturday. It did make me develop some feelings for my teacher, especially after that kiss we shared. That shouldn't have happened at all. If someone we know had seen us, it'd have been the end of her just starting career.
I smiled at my own thoughts. For once, I was being selfless. In my previous relationships or feelings for someone, I always got what I wanted. I didn't care about the fact that Katherine's parents were homophobes, for example.
With Devonne, it's different, I can already tell. I don't want her losing her job, I don't want her to be in trouble. Even though I know I want her.
"Sel!" Jason's voice boomed through the almost empty hallway. "Hi girls," He smiled at Caroline and gave Isidora a quick peck. "How's it going? I haven't heard from you for days."
"I'm good." I gave him a big smile. "How are you?" I looked from him to Isidora, who started to blush, and grinned.
"I'm good too." His hand went through his dark hair. We talked a bit before realizing the bell had already rung. "Let's go to class." He told Isidora
