❝  Well , Hello There ; And Who Might You Be ?

"Neh, [ y/n ]~" Fujimoto collapsed into the desk in front of her own, his head leaning against her desk. He looked up at her with pleading eyes.
"ah, I know that look," she responded with a slight laugh, "what can I help you with?"
"I need help studying," as he was speaking she was marking things into her own notes, she glanced up at him shortly before returning her eyes to her own papers, "Can you help me?"
"and you came to me because I'm in class 5?"
"Well, yes- but your also the only one I know that might help me,"
"Ah, but who said I'd agree to help you study?"
"Please [ y/n ]~ I can't get another failing grade! And there are camps coming up and I won't get to go if I fail!" Fujimoto cried, gripping on to her forearm, stopping her mid-movement.
"my, my, Fuji~" she smiled slyly glancing up at him again, "I never said no; but since you clearly love me so~ much I'll do it,"
"Oh, Thank you!!" His sigh of relief made her smile at him.
"First I have to get a green tea before I go crazy,"
"But the break will be over by then!"
"Thank god there's after school," [ y/n ] dramatically added, "you're free after practice, correct?"

[ y/n ] puffed her cheeks full of air and blew out as she scanned the gym, making sure everything was picked up and put away properly. Choko was beside her doing the same, except she was a bit more verbal.

"I think that's it," Choko huffed slightly, running her hands through the ends of her hair, her eyes closed, "oh, [ n/n ]-Chan, do you remember which one of us is taking the notebook home?"
"did you take it home yesterday?"
"Uh... no," she responded after a second of thought, "oh, so I'll take it today!"

[ y/n ] nodded as she passed the notebook over to her upperclassman. Fujimoto's hands landed on both of her shoulders, causing her to jump and rotate on her heel, lightly jabbing her hand into Fujimoto's side.

"Please stop doing that," she sighed, "one of these days I might end up punching you or something,"
"oh boo, scaring you is fun,"
"It wouldn't be fun when I break your nose on accident,"
"Yeah, yeah; you ready to go yet?"
"I've been waiting for you," [ y/n ] clicked her tongue, nodding at Fujimoto.
"And where might you two be going?" Choko asked, cocking her eyebrows as her eyes flickered between the two.
"The poor boy can't study on his own," [ y/n ] teased him, raising her arm and pinching his cheeks, "he asked me for help,"
"Eh, quit that," he smacked her hand away from his face.
"oh, I see." Choko nodded, the lack of a snarky remark about the two was a new thing for them. She finished stuffing her own things into her bag, "maybe next time I'll get you to help me too. Anyway, have fun! Hiroki, you ready?"

Choko gave the two a smile and wave before she and Tsukuda began their own walk home. Their walk to [ y/n ]'s house started off with slight chatter before fading into a comfortable steady silence. It didn't take long before they had arrived at [ y/n ]'s house; it was a smaller home with a very plain exterior and only a few plants decorated the front of the home.

"Sa, I'm home!" [ y/n ] called upon opening the door, letting Fujimoto ahead of her.
"Oh hey-" Sa greeted her before her eyes landed on Fujimoto, "well, hello there; and who might you be?"
"Fujimoto Nao, Your [ y/n ] sister?"
"ah, correct. The name's Sa," She introduced herself and snapped, pointing at her sister, "mom's gonna be coming back later tonight so I'd let her know a boy's over,"
"I'll call her,"

[ y/n ] led Fujimoto into her own room, mostly to get away from her sister. She immediately dropped her bag and plopped down on her bed. She signaled to her small desk, letting Fujimoto know he could sit.

"Now," she started, "what subject should we start on?"
"any of them..." Fujimoto chuckled lightly, "I need help in all of them,"
"Alright, then; let's knock the harder subjects out first."

she leaned forward over her crossed legs, shuffling through her bag and sliding an algebra textbook out of it. She could hear a soft 'oh no' come from Fujimoto, causing her to smile lightly.
She kept shifting her gaze between her own notes and his, and the current work he was doing. She barely made verbal marks but rather pointed and wrote little reminders for parts of an equation he'd mess up on or skip entirely.

"Oh wow, you're good at this," Fujimoto mumbled as he erased yet another equation.
"hm, not really. I just make sure my notes are understandable,"
"And that makes you good." he added, "good god, is there anything you can't do?"

She just giggled lightly at his comment while nodding her head, silently making a list.
She had noticed a discouraged expression on his face while he worked on one of the harder problems, followed by a few frustrated sighs. She got up from her spot and walked over to him, squatting down to the level of the chair he was sitting in. she was silent for most of it as she mentally worked through the problem, having to redo it a few times as she found herself also getting stuck.

"Oh, there," she pointed to a segment of the problem, "I did the same thing; we skipped the next step there." she took his pencil from between his fingers, scribbling down the problem up until what he had already solved. "There, that should be better," she glanced up at him; their faces were awfully close to each other. Neither of them said anything for a moment as they just stared at each other until both their faces flushed at them both ever so slightly getting closer together without them even thinking about it. She stood back up, quickly making her way back over to her bed and the silence returned; now having an undertone of awkwardness laced into it. They both could no longer pay attention to the work ahead of them after that embarrassing moment.
The awkward, uncomfortable silence lasted for what seemed like an eternity, though it was only about 20 minutes.

"Oh shit-" Fujimoto mumbled, his hand gripping his phone, "It's getting late I should probably go,"
"Oh right," she nodded and followed him back to the front door, where they were going to share their goodbyes.
"Thanks a lot, [ y/n ]. It was actually super helpful,"
"Anytime, Fuji,"

She shot him a warm smile as she slowly shut the door while he walked away from the house. Turning around on her heel promptly, her facial expression had changed to one of distress, her sister let out a soft chuckle from the hallway entrance.

"What's that look for?"

The response she got was [ y/n ] collapsing forward onto her in a messy hug, grumbling distressed nonsense to Sa.
