Review:

"Bound to Him" is a perfect balance of horror with romance that I never thought was possible until I encountered this book. This books explores the paranormal encounters newly wedded Anika begins to have that ranges from a sinister closet to a demonic lampshade that possess evil forces which threaten to separate her from Shivaay. Unusual, bone chilling incidents happen that incite fear in the reader, but yet intrigue. The balance is perfect between darkness and light. The way the writing moulds the darker aspects of the book with lighter, comedic scenes keeps the reader hooked and craving for more. The horror scenes are magnificent that are completely original and so creative, but still have the proper balance which is not too graphic yet also not dull...it's beautiful. Perfect. This book is a marvelous piece of work that brings complete originality, yet, does full justice to Shivika and their love for each other. The way the writer shows how even forces of evil cannot separate Shivika due to sacredness of marriage is beautiful and I love the message sent out through this book that vows taken under the divine have such power that even evil cannot touch two lovers. An excellent balance is done between Shivaay and Anika's characters doing equal justice to both from Anika experiencing paranormal activity and trying to make sense of it while Shivaay supporting her and trying to find the mystery behind such incidents. 

The writer plotted this book in an impeccable manner in which the paranormal encounters were weaved beautifully with Shivika falling in love and coming closer. The romantic scenes were marvelous and balanced in such a good manner with the paranormal ones...not a moment did I stop reading...I read this book nonstop and craved for more. I loved the development of Shivika's relationship as an arranged marriage couple. The way Shivaay's logical, reasonable side is a perfect balance with Anika's funny, quirky side and how Shivaay began to fall in love with her is wonderful. I loved the reception party romantic scene where Shivaay takes off Anika's jewellery and suddenly it mods to a paranormal scene..like wow! That was an excellent scene! Beyond that, the way the writer explored other relationships such as between Shivaay and his biological mother and the unusual, dark side of worshiping relatives to point of making them Gods was shocking to me, yet, intriguing and so believable.
