Ruel had been your boyfriend for five months already, but he still wasn't really comfortable with showing his body to you. He was really insecure about his lanky figure, which you hated for him, because you liked him just for who he was. And, to admit, he was really handsome, so there was no reason at all for Ruel to be insecure.

Today was a really warm day. It wouldn't be surprising if guys wouldn't wear shirts while sleeping, because it was simply just too hot to wear one. However, because of Ruel's insecurity he was still wearing a shirt in bed, along with some shorts, while you were wearing a small top with a pair of shorts as well.

"Ruel, honey, aren't you too warm? I mean - it's so hot outside and you can just pull off your shirt, babe." You told him, to try and let him know he didn't have to worry about his body.

He grew slightly uncomfortable hearing about him wearing a shirt, but just replied to you. "I'm not that warm, actually." He sounded a little distant, which wasn't surprising to you.

"There's no need to be insecure, babe. You're the most handsome guy on this entire planet, both on the inside and on the outside. I wish you could see yourself the way I see you, baby." You tried to comfort him. "If you really aren't feeling hot, you can keep on your shirt, but otherwise, please get rid of it. I don't want you to be overheated."

As you said that, Ruel became a little more shy, but did agree with you that he was too warm. He slowly sat up with his back towards you, pulling off his shirt before quickly getting under the covers again, so that you wouldn't see his torso.

You were happy at this improvement. Although he still wasn't confident enough to let you see himself with a bare chest, he was lying next to you without a shirt.

You scooted over to his side, wrapping your arms around his middle, so that you could cuddle into his chest. You felt him tense up a little as you touched his bare stomach. "See? No need to worry, babe." You said whilst lying your head on his chest, hearing his heart beat.

You felt him relax again and wrap his arms around you. "Good night, Y/N" He said as he pecked your forehead.

"Good night, Ruel." You smiled at him.

The next morning you woke up to an empty bed. Clearly, Ruel had already woken up and you heard footsteps on the stairs coming closer.

Ruel entered the room with a tray of food in his hands and, surprisingly, still no shirt on. He had a huge smile on his face. "Good morning, Y/N. I made us breakfast to eat in bed." He said, his sparkling with joy.

"Morning, baby. You really didn't have to." You replied to him, smiling as well while sitting up in bed so that you could start eating breakfast soon.

"Oh, but I just wanted to surprise you. Thank you for comforting me yesterday, babe. I think I really needed it, and although I'm not as confident as you yet, I feel like I've already made a huge improvement." He told you, a happy smile forming on his lips. "I don't feel that uncomfortable around you anymore, because you like me for who I am and you don't judge me for the way I look."

"Bub, I would never judge you for the way you look. You're way too special to me for that. I just want you to feel comfortable, and if that's with or without a shirt, doesn't matter to me. I'm happy you feel better, though." You said as you pecked his lips quickly. You saw that Ruel got a little nervous again, but weren't sure what it was this time. "Ruel, what is going on?" You asked him.

He sighed before starting to speak. "Y/N, I need to get something off my chest. Maybe it's too soon, but what I'm about to tell you is true. I don't know if you wouldn't feel the same way, I wouldn't blame you, but - " He paused for a small moment. "I love you, Y/N." Ruel quietly stated. "You bring out the best of me and you have made me more confident yesterday with only comforting me. I'm still insecure, but together we won't go down. I just - I love you and I have for a while now and I totally understand if you don't feel the same -" Ruel was rambling, which you found absolutely adorable.

You quickly cut him off by kissing him passionately. "Ruel, silly. Of course I love you! You're amazing and together we have become so much stronger than before we met. And it may be soon that we're telling each other, but I don't care. We love each other for who we are, and we know it." You smiled at him. You pecked his lips again.

"Now let's eat, otherwise the eggs will be colder than they already are." Ruel stated laughing, you quickly joining him. And in exactly this moment, you felt like the happiest person in the world, being with the boy you love, who loves you too and just enjoying your time together by eating breakfast and talking.

I always like the stories where the boy is insecure, because I think there are so many stories where the girl is insecure, that it becomes kind of obvious and it isn't unexpected anymore :)

Also, I'm NOT saying Ruel is or should be insecure about his body, I just wanted to write this story hehe.

So I just got back from my vacation trip and the weather is already killing me, it's so annoying honestly.

I bought two dresses, they're both cute hehe. Also I have to work tomorrow and I will stand next to the stove and I will literally die in this hot weather i-

I wrote this before the trip, but my Wattpad was acting so annoying, so I think the order of the stories wasn't entirely right, but I think I fixed it now haha.
