I sighed as I was still working on my essay for school. I was almost done, but I just wanted to cuddle with my boyfriend, Ruel.

We had been together for almost nine moths and hadn't said our "I love you's" yet. Of course I loved him, but I wasn't so sure if he loved me as well. I had been dropping hints the entire week, and every time he just brushed it off.

Right now Ruel was sitting in my room, while I was finishing up my assignment in the office.

"Babe, is it still going okay?" Ruel sweetly asked me from the other room.

"Yeah, I am almost finished." I sighed once more and worked on the essay for another 15 minutes.

I was just relaxing, waiting for my girlfriend to finish her essay. I really loved her, I mean, of course I loved her! She is the most gorgeous and amazing girl ever. We hadn't said the L-word yet, though. I really doubted that she loved me, too.

"Ruel, is it okay if we just cuddle for the rest of the night?" Y/N asked me. I was happy she was finally done with that assignment. The poor girl had worked so hard for it and had been very stressed for it.

"I'd love to." I replied to her.

She came running in the room with a shocked look on her face. "I love you, too." She said. She said she love me!

"Oh, I didn't know we were already saying that." I said to her, surprised she told me those words.

"Huh, but you just said it." She said, kind of confused.

"Oh, I said "I'd love to". I'd love to cuddle with you."

"Oh, no. No, no, no. Now I ruined everything. I am so sorry, Ruel. I feel stupid now for saying it this early. I -" I could clearly see she was stressed about what she said.

"Hey, bub, don't worry. I love you. I really do. I was scared you didn't love me back, that's why I waited so long." I told her.

She looked up and smiled at me. She walked over to me and gave me a hug. "Ruel, are you kidding me? I have been dropping hints about love all week! I thought I made it obvious."

I gave her a kiss and thought about the events of the past week. She had asked me which music artist I loved the most and also what thing I most loved to do. Now that I looked back at it, it was pretty obvious.

"Awh, hun, I honestly had no idea. I feel so silly now. I love you, Y/N." I embraced and gave her a kiss on her forehead.

"Well, shall we cuddle for the rest of tonight?" I dragged her over to her bed and laid down next to her.

"I'd love to, Ruel. And I love you."

So, this one was a little short, but I still hope y'all liked it! This is kind of based on an episode of Jane the Virgin, where she and Michael said their "I love you's" for the first time.
