A nurse came out an hour later.

"She is better now, her fever is down."

"Thank you."

"Is your husband coming soon?"

"No I don't have one"

"Oh, then the father?"

"I'm going to be honest, I don't know who the father is"

"Oh, I'm sorry"

"No problem" I sniffed.

"We are keeping her in until the next day, after that if everything is okay, you can go home."

"Thank you" my cell started buzzing. "Yes?"

"Any news?"

"They're telling me she's better, I'm gonna spend the night in."

"Are you getting any better? I mean less upset"

"I have no idea, I'm feeling like a pile of horse" I coughed out the word shit, and she laughed.

The next day we could go home, and slept on the floor next to Hannah's bed.

"If you have any problems, if anything hurts, or you feel like you can't breathe OR ANYTHING, please wake me up"

"Mommy, it is okay"

"I love you sweetheart"

"I love you too"

I fell asleep, thank god nothing bad, everything was perfectly fine.

Next day Louise came over with a small container in her hand.

"Don't ask how, but I got some DNA here, we can go and do the test."

So as it turned out, she somehow managed to either stick a cotton bud into Dan's mouth while he was asleep (which sounds horrifying) or told him what is up.

We drove to the DNA lab place, where they took our DNAs too and 8 days later, I had the paper in my hands.

I was shaking.

I ended up not opening it for a week.

I felt like I have something in front of me, something I don't wanted to know.

Meanwhile when we went to Louise's place, I had a surprise shock.

I held Hannah's hand when Louise opened the door.

"Aw here are my lovelies, is she better now?"

"Yes, there were no problems but I was freaked out."

"Darcy is in the garden, Hannah, do you want to play with Darcy, or both of you will just watch a film?"

"Darcy" she said

"Garden, honey?"

"Yes"

"Okay."

"Darcy look who's here" childhood best friends. Sweet.  "So I have a bit of socialness for you, by the way did you open the results yet?"

"I chickened out, so I didn't. I keep them in the drawer at home."

"Oh god" she shook her head. We stepped into the lounge, and I froze. "Boys, here is the girl I've been talking about" One of them turned around.

"Hi" he got up. I got into shock.

"Oh my god"

"You need a minute"

"Hell yes I do holy smokes" my heart. Jesus christ, it wanted to jump out of my chest.

"Are you okay?" Phil asked.

"Would it be weird to hug you? Like both of you. Literally, I know I'm really cheezy, but you guys are the reason why I'm still alive."

"Aw oh my god nacho cheese" Dan suddenly looked at me, stared at me for a second and turned away. "Waaaaait, aren't you the girl from Psychology in Menchester uni?"

"Yes I'm, you remember, the girl with the blue hair, that was me. Oh wow this is overwhelming" I smiled in front of myself. Such a silly fangirl.

"I'm sure it is not more overwhelming then Louise coming at you with a cotton bud and stabbing you in the mouth while you sleep on the couch" Dan laughed.

"I liked the nacho cheese joke by the way, oh my god I'm so lame" we said the last part together at the same time. "whoa, creepy" I hugged Phil, forgot about everything for a moment, and then it was Dan's turn.

"Well, long time no see. You finished, or you dropped out too?"

"Dropped out"

"She got pregnant"

"Guys I really don't want to bother but Hannah is feeling bad again" Matt came in.

"I feel the same" she said inbetween a few coughs.

"No no no no, it can't happen again. Let's see if you have a fever." I touched her forehead. Flaming hot.

We went to the A&E again, but this time, Matt took us, along with Phil, who came to be there so I won't freak out.

"So this is the second time?" Phil asked. "No, no don't be upset sssh" I was crying my eyes out, Phil was trying to comfort me. After a while, I stopped crying and Phil sort of fell asleep. I pulled the envelope out of my bag.

The noise I generated woke Phil up.

"Sorry, didn't mean to wake you up."

"No no, no problem. Did they inform you yet?"

"No."

"What's that?" he poked at the envelope, pushing his glasses back on his face.

"Can you keep a secret? I mean I'm sure you can but will you be able to not tell Dan about this?"

"About what?"

"I would tell you a story."

"For a while yes, I can but it is depending on the story."

"Okay." I took a deep breath. "So there was this girl back in uni, in Manchester, who went to a huge party, and got really really drunk, like massively, atomic bomb drunk. And she only remembered how she woke up, which was half naked. A few days after, she started feeling sick in the mornings, and it turned out she's pregnant, and she needed to drop out. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Hannah, and time passed. Now Hannah is getting older and older and keeps asking about where is daddy. This envelope has a guess in it. Dan dropped out after the news of my pregnancy spread, like butter on hot toasted bread."

"I don't get it"

"There is a chance that he might be Hannah's dad."
