They wanted me to preform against an audience of people I did not really know. Was I really planning to show off to a bunch of people I didn't really know anyway? Probably not, but it was not like I had the choice. I couldn't leave or anything or become a no show. Someone began to speak to me. He said my number. It went something like. "Number 7766. Please move forward." It was very formal. I'm not really used to acting formal to people. "Okay. Number 7766. You'll be demonstrating what gift you have. Step on to the podium and begin your assessment. If you fail. You will be executed in our prison." The Guard raised his weapon at me. He didn't seem to be the patient one. It was now or never on this one. I raised my arms trying to gather enough energy for this supercharged move. It unfortunately didn't pan out successfully. The highly armed guards took me and shoved me inside of a door. I couldn't see or knew where I was. It was dark. It was wet. It was uncomfortable. All the other kids laughed at me because they believed that I was a defect, they called it that because it was someone who couldn't openly activate their powers at will. Was it stupid? Yeah, it was. It was the most excruciating experience of my entire life in fact. Dawson felt a surge of pain from his left arm. Surges of hatred flowed through his veins which looked like dark red/black ash energy. The surge expanded initiating an explosion putting enough pressure to open up his cell, but it was enough to not trigger the alarm of the building. The guards seemed occupied doing something else; the head warden reignited the lightning baton and as he was about to strike me down point blank in the eyes, I stopped it delivering an extra "punch" strong enough to send the warden flying in mid-air. I did not want to die but I had to fight my way through this in order to survive the harsh reality of being a defect. All the guards were on high alert after my little stunt I pulled back in the Prison. They were all looking for me. Dawson stopped for a moment looking at himself. "Is this me? Why am I this way?" Dawson said confused out of his mind. Dawson took no minute to head towards the tunnel. A man with a gun waved the weapon around Dawson. "Not many would take this route on their own just by themselves. This baby here is a MG 43 the successor to the 42. She is big but, her bullet output is quite extraordinary if you hadn't noticed. The name is Leo Galante. Son, please. Let me accompany you for protection purposes. You don't have anyone supporting you right now in case a shootout occurs, so let me be the shield so you don't have to take the bullets coming your way. It'll be our little secret you and me." To be honest I was not sure what to think. Should I have trusted this guy? Well, I would have to take my chances. It was my only way out of this mess. This guy I met who was named Leo, me and him gunned down anyone who got on our way. It did not matter if they were from the law, from the prison or whatever. It was going to be either we survive or die trying. One man got a bullet to face, another got a bulled through his two eyes. Blood was all over the walls and not many could explain the huge trail of blood on the floor where we were walking. It turns out the entire prison was going against us which was not easy to pull off on our own. The 43 Leo was holding was firing a ton of bullets. Four bullets pierced the wardens' necks and their backs which made the blood splatter all over us. We looked like living bloody monsters. We were like gigantic walking bullseye's ready to be fired upon on sight.

Upon heading towards the garage, we encountered an extremely specific hidden gem of a vehicle. The M972 Neon Dodger. A futuristic car of our generation, it was fast and could outrun anything in a matter of minutes if you floor it. "Are you up for a little joy ride? Right now, it is rather sunny which would make for a good day in fact. Give her a little jolt in speed she'll bring us where we need to go." Leo told me this while I was in the driver's seat. I did what he told me, I stepped on the accelerator and kept going. Before we knew it, we were on the express way. It didn't seem like anything was going wrong at this point so we had a little chat since things were going pretty well for me considering I was in a prison for people who could not awaken their own powers the first time. The funny thing is that I did not really know what my powers were or what I was capable of; I would soon find that out in my later days considering it was too early for me to awaken them yet. That was to be expected. I needed to be patient and that's what I had to do in order to fully awaken what was deep within me that was dormant for so long.

"Kid. You seem young to be in a prison such as that. Why did they bring you here anyway?" Leo questioned why I was there. Why I was put in such a terrible place. I could not answer him entirely because I didn't really understand the details of it myself. All I could do was respond the way I do. "I don't know. They never really told me why; they threw me in the prison like I was some damn rat who harbored a disease. I missed the outside. I honestly didn't deserve being thrown here. It's bullshit." I replied towards Leo's question feeling a large amount of hate. Yeah, I hated it there. I hated the people there. I wanted to be a free man. I needed my freedom and I would do whatever it took to get it back. I was fresh out of being a prison inmate. "So where would go next?" I would ask Leo considering I needed ideas of how to get back into the Legion of Horsemen. "I have a few pieces of information that could be used in our advantage. We'll be taking control of New Oregon. Iris hills. And finally, Vargas Denmark. These cities are in the North, South, East districts. We control all three of these and we are set for life kiddo. All ya got to do is listen to everything I say, follow everything I say and do not break any of my directions because both of us could be screwed without us knowing it if we slip up once. Got it kid?" I nodded hearing all this that Leo was saying to me. I understood what he meant by all of this. It was every man for himself. You either had to do the job as dirty as possible or be a coward and run away.

Reloading my gun in the drivers seat I was prepared for anything coming my way. What I didn't realize while I was reloading my gun was that I forgot I was driving, and we hit a stop sign on the way. "Christ. Kid. I know you are excited, but you must take it easy. We don't need to be dying when we get there okay? Now, off to New Oregon we go. Let us settle the score finally to take back what was taken away from us after so many long years. I nodded to Leo saying this to me. "Right, I'll be sure to take all of this information to heart. You are a good teacher and mentor. Thank you for all the wisdom so far. It feels good to have you near me, sir." I responded to Leo talking to me. I enjoyed what he said. It gave me courage; it gave me a reason to keep on going. I had no reason to stop now. I was not a coward nor was I going to roll around and let my life go on without me.
