Chapter 8: The Secret

The night was cold and Eden didn't know it would be that cold, So she moved next to Nathan
And cuddled up beside him. She felt warmer and safer. The next morning came and Nathan got a surprise.

Nathan: thinking What is Eden doing this close to me?'

Eden: sleep talking No Nathan you're the cute one.

Nathan decided to wake her up.

Nathan: Hey, Eden, wake up.

Eden: Oh hey Nathan. How was your sleep?

Nathan: It was good. Did you sleep well?

Eden: I slept great.

Nathan: So did you say I was cute?

Eden: What! No! I didn't say that, what makes you think that?

Nathan: Well you said it while you were sleeping.

Eden: Oh did I, well i think it was something else.

Eden couldn't help herself so she just turned around and ran out of the lair and into the open fields.

Nathan: thinking Well I think she likes me.

Kion: Hey Nathan, What was that about?

Nathan: I wish I knew Kion. So shall we go on patrol?

Kion: Well the rest of the Guard haven't woken up yet. You can go ahead and we'll catch up.

Nathan: Ok Kion see you later.

Nathan started the patrol on his own and things didn't look out of the ordinary, so he just continued walking on, but he had a feeling he was being watched.

Janja: whispering Ok boys listen up. That lion over there is all alone. So if we take him out there will be less members of the lion guard to worry about.

Nathan: What was that Janja?

Janja: What, how did you hear me?

Nathan: Well you are not the quiet type.

Janja: Well yes that's true but... Get him boys!

Nathan found himself in the middle of a circle of hyenas.

Nathan: thinking I think I can use the flaming paw against them or...

While Nathan was thinking on what to do, 4 hyenas bit him. 2 on the back and 2 on his legs.In a split second they all saw a green flash of light that blinded them for almost a minute.When they could see again they were all covered in vines and they saw were they bit Nathan there were no marks. Just then the Guard arrived.

Kion: Nathan, What happened?

Nathan: I don't know.

Kion: Well you definitely did something, we all saw a green flash of light and there are no vines in the plains.

Nathan: Well I must have discovered another ability.

Kion: Yeah but just don't use it all the time.

Nathan: Don't worry Kion I don't even know how to activate my abilities quickly. And you may do the honors to send them back to the outlands.

Kion: Sure.

With Kion's roar Nathan felt a shock through his whole body that made him fall to the ground with no form of consciousness .

Kion: Don't worry Nathan, We'll get you to Rafiki. He will know what to do.
