Chapter 9: Friend or Foe

                                        
So with Nathan passed out and the Guard taking him to Rafiki,
There was someone new who came into the Pride Lands. Her name was
Keia. She is a young lioness that almost looked like Eden, but the fur colour was darker than hers.

Keia: This looks like a good place to stay. I wonder who rules this land.

While Keia was walking around the Pride Lands, Kion and the Guard went to Rafiki in order to help Nathan.

Kion: Rafiki! Rafiki!

Rafiki: Yes Kion, what seems to be the problem?

Kion: It's Nathan, he just lost consciousness and I wonder if he will make it.

Rafiki: Let me see what's wrong with him. I see he has an overflow of energy.

Kion: What?

Rafiki: I saw in the old paintings that the white lions can collapse if they used too much of their energy on one attack. He will be fine.

A few minutes passed and Nathan woke up.

Nathan: What happened?

Kion: Well you sort of lost consciousness.

Nathan: Oh well I feel fine now.

Rafiki: Now that you're awake you need to know something.

Nathan: What is it?

Rafiki: Just be careful about your temper. After an energy burn out you can't control your temper that well.

Nathan: Ok I will try. So Kion, can we continue the patrol?

Kion: Sure.

Kion and Nathan went to the rest of the Guard to continue the patrol, but on the way they ran into Keia.

Keia: Hello who are you?

Kion: I'm Kion and this is Nathan.

Nathan: Hey there.

Keia: I'm Keia. Do you know who rules this place?

Nathan:not controlling Why do you want to know! You want to take over this place don't you?!

Nathan was so impatient that he just pounced on Keia and pinned her to the ground.

Nathan: not controlling You won't take over this place! So I suggest that you leave!

Kion: Hey Nathan, Snap out of it!

Nathan: back to reality Oh sorry Kion.

When Nathan got off Keia. She had a very frightened face, and she just started running.

Kion: Nathan, you go and continue with the Guard. I'm going to talk to Keia.

Nathan: Ok.

After an hour of running Keia slowed down and Kion cached up to her.

Keia: What are you doing here, and what's the problem with your friend?

Kion: I wanted to know if you are ok after what happened.

Keia: Well I don't think I like this place any more. Why would Nathan do something like that, I thought he would welcome me here.

Kion: Nathan is going through something that makes him lose control over his temper.

Keia: Well I don't think me and him will be friends.

Kion; You don't have to be. Come let me show you the king.

Keia: Really.

Kion: Yes.

Kion and Keia went to Pride Rock and they saw that Nathan and the Guard were there.
Nathan saw them and decided to go and talk to them.

Nathan: Hey Kion. Hey Keia.

Kion: Hey.

Keia: scared Hey.

Nathan: Keia, I just want to say that I'm sorry for doing that to you. I couldn't control my temper and I just feel bad about it.

Keia: Well I forgive you. Just don't do it again.

Nathan: I can try.

Simba: And who is this?

Kion: Oh hey dad. This is Keia. Keia, this is King Simba.

Keia: Well It's an honor to meet you.

Simba: Well I hope you had a good first impression of the Pride Lands.

Keia: Yeah this place is so beautiful.

Simba: Glad to hear that you like it here.

Some time passed and everyone was asleep, except Nathan.He was sitting on the edge of Pride Rock.

Nathan: Why did I have to lose my temper at that time. Why didn't I control myself. Why did I make Keia's first day here such a bad one.

Eden: Excuse me. Who is that new lioness?

Nathan: Oh hey Kei... I mean Eden. Oh well that's just Keia the new lioness that came here today.

Eden: Well how does she like it here?

Nathan: Well I don't think she liked it very much.

Eden: Why?

Nathan: I lost control of myself and I almost slashed her in the face. I said sorry but I don't think she will like me after what happened.

Eden: Well at least you still got me.

Nathan: What do you mean?

Eden: Well I sort of have a crush on you.

Nathan: O...k

While they were talking Keia wanted to talk to Nathan, but she saw him and Eden sitting there and she was sad, because she wanted to know more about what happened.

Keia: thinking Why should I like him. He almost killed me. I think that he needs to know what it feels like.
